We had about an hour to shop after our excursion. The actual stores are fine, but if you go to the straw huts be warned. They are rude, overpriced and extremely pushy. For your own safety I would recommend staying on the main thorofare. We started up one of the side aisles two stores up a male said "come over... More

Pushy sales people seems very overpriced. The local tequila is great😁 store owners probably pay him to get the tourists drunk so they spend there cash😂 In general I try to avoid this place😁

Same shops as most ports. Higher prices, little bargains. But this cruise port is clean and well lit at night.

I purchased a set of earrings, when I got home I took them to my jeweler because i could not locate the 14k stamp. I was advised that the metal was not gold or silver with gold plating and the stones were glass.I was told at the store that I was purchasing gold with sapphire stones. buyer be very aware at... Avoid this tourist trap, Have the taxi driver take you to Cinco Soles for your shopping. Huge place, no pressure, selection of everything from clothes, jewelry, alcohol, and souvenirs (tacky and non-tacky). The jewelry here is nice locally made stuff and not your over-priced fake designer stuff that the other shops will try to push you to buy.

Despite being all the way at the end of the shopping district, if you ask the taxi driver for a ride to downtown, this is where he will take you....We've often seen a greeter who opens the cab door for you, and seemingly keeps track of who brought you there....no doubt for some kind of payoff. As a matter of... More

Do Not Listen To Jewelry Expert On Cruise. Do not go here. Taxi drops you off at Diamonds international and the rest of the stores are the same junk over and over. You find yourself saying "no thank you" a hundred times as you are pestered every 2 feet by people trying to get you into store. These sellers should... More

My husband and I purchased a few items from the shop "Red" at Puerta Maya. When the shop owner rang up the items, he manually went into the screen and changed the price for each item, upping the charge. My husband paid and the owner changed the receipt option to print in Spanish (and in pesos). When I asked for... More

It was 3pm in the afternoon not evening and far too hot to be walking around shops ( well the shops were repeated every block so boring really) They aren't any cheaper then at home so don't think... When my alleged "Onex" bracklet was scratched, I asked someone who makes jewlery (real stones) to polish it. When the scratches wouldn't come out, he tested it. . . a hot needle--it melted in that area. I was very naive. Won't be purchasing jewlery in Cozumel in my upcoming trip.
