Dove with Chili Charters with Rene, he guided us down to the wreck, it has been years since I dove the wreck, but awesome as always. Lots of glassy sweepers inside, love taking pics of them (one of the 4 spots in Cozumel reefs to see them). So much marine life on this wreck.

a great beginner wreck dive . penetration can be limited to swim through or for the more advanced the lower engine room. but a word of caution though easy one should not penetrate unless trained and has proper gear.

Dove with Challenge Diving, Eric and his son did a great job as Dive Masters. This is a dive every diver should have on the bucket list. Need to have good diver skills.

When you hear the whir of electric motors wave at the cruisers passing by in the sub. Best to stay out of the ship as there are a lot of sharp edges and dangling cables since Wilma moved it and broke the keel. Still a nice dive around the outside with lots of marine life.

Great wreck dive! You can see from stern to bow. Look for the brittle stars on the port side of the ship. Very cool.

This was my Favorite Dive in Cozumel. I've Dove the wreck three times and there's always something new to see.The C-53 was sunk in 1999 as a dive site to help take some of the pressure off the other dive sites around the island. Before being renamed it was known as the USS Scuffle and received 5 Battle stars during World... Max of about 75', with the top around 35'. Lots of cut outs to let in light and make for easy access. Really an easy, fun wreck, beginning to host a lot of attached and swimming critters. Love the school of hundreds of glassy sweepers that seem to always hang out in the engine room!

Easy dive (when current is not strong), Relatively shallow (bottom around 70, top of bridge around 35 or 40, debris removed, good growth, large holes cut for easy access, pretty good fish population. Not technical, but makes for a fantastic first wreck, or a nice "something else" when diving Cozumel.

When we dived this site the current was pretty gentle, noticeable current, but not bad. I didn't know the ship was there before our trip or I would have researched its history as I do with most wrecks I enjoy diving. The ship is at rest completely upright and it is a magnificent site as you decent upon it. There... More
