Great snorkelling for beginners

We rented a car right off our cruise ship and went to this highly rated snorkel spot. We were not told to pay a cover charge and snorkeled and then ordered lunch and had a practically secluded time to enjoy our lunch away from the crowds down town. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. We drove around the whole... More

We went here on a tour/excursion. The snorkeling was just okay with not really that much to see. The food service here was extremely slow. There are much better places to snorkel and eat.

The deal currently is $5 pp for plastic upright chairs w/tables and palm-fronded shade, or you can opt for a minimum of $10 food/beverage cost pp with no additional cover. No lounge chairs; minimal beach. Food is very high high priced (I can't comment on the quality/quantity because I was so surprised about the cost even by Cozumel standards); drinks... More

The guy told us we had to spend 10 bucks each in order to occupy a table in the middle of the week while his beach club was a construction site, complete with skill saws, hammers and etc. Since our kids were with us, we went along with the rip off so that they would have a relatively nice day... This was a really neat exxperience for someone who hasn't done any snorkelling before. It was a bit tricky getting out to a spot to put on the flippers, but once in the water it was a short swim to see some coral and lots of fish. We stayed out there for over an hour and there was a lot... More

The Corona Beach Club is a fairly run down bar and grill that offers way over priced food and drinks for those who want to use their beach. Your choice is to either pay $5 a person to use the beach or purchase lunch and drinks (will probably run you about $25 a person). They do offer a changing area... More

We spent the day at Corona Beach, snorkeling, eating and drinking and enjoying the day without the cruise ship crowds. Met the owner Rogelio Dominguez and had a few laughs, he thought I was an old friend; a little older and less weight! Took some friends who were snorkeling for the first time. A very good place for novice snorkelers;... More

We've been there multiple times over the years, but this time was disappointing. Prices had gone up significantly, it looked more run down than usual and service was not great. The snorkeling has always been good here, which was the only reason we stayed for a while. Some of the best snorkeling area is now roped off. It won't be... More

A quiet out of the way place. Looking for where the locals go to chill out? this is the place. A small bar with typical selection of food it isn't anything special to look at but that isn't the reason to go. Go to relax and enjoy a siesta of a day. Plastic chairs sitting under thatch umbrellas, even has... More

Visited Playa Corona for the first time this weekend. I loved the snorkeling...it was awesome...lots of fish (they are used to being fed here!) and loads of super coral that you can snorkel to from shore. Tons of fan coral and a really pleasant shallow snorkel. The downside was the beach bar itself. This place looks like it hasn't seem... More
