What an amazing place to just see. There is a sea turtle nest. There is a small museum. And the view from the top of the light house is Amazing.

We visited as part of a jeep tour around the island. There was a crew working on the dock at the lagoon so the crocodiles had disappeared. We were told that when it is quiet you can see up to 50 crocs. We did not have much time for the museum but the climb up the lighthouse was worth the... More

We drove along the coast and through the park, breath taking views. We were on a coach tour so only had a short stop.

If you want to get away from the downtown trip and get into nature this is a great escape. Great view from top of the lighthouse. Make sure you snorkel out to the white buoy, there is a great reef there covered with sea fans, worth the extra swim. You definitely don't need a jeep to get out there, the... More

This is a great place to go for an afternoon. We started by taking the half hour boat tour of the Columbia Lagoon. This is brackish water that is home to flamingos, herons, spoonbills and crocodiles. We saw all of these and heard a great explanation of the ecology by our guide and boat captain. The tour is free and... More

Pretty location. Good bargain. The boat trip to see the crocs is very good. Nice beach and swimming - snorkeling just ok.

Went here on a jeep tour and loved it. The tour was with Explora Jeep Tours and they provide a great day on the Island.

Cost o enter is $224 MXN, but worth it. They maintain the road, protect the turtles laying the eggs and look after Columbia Lagoon and preserve some Mayan ruins.

We didn't want to be part of a tour group to see this attraction, so we rented a jeep and drove to the lighthouse on our own. Beautiful view from the top, might be a bit difficult for larger folks to climb, but certainly worth it once your there. Take your time, go when it's not crowded; it's peaceful, beautiful,... More

This is a nice place to climb the lighthouse, and if you're lucky see a crocodile. There is a nice beach here also. The snorkeling isn't much. The reef is maybe 1/4 or more out from the beach. The beach I'm referring to here is a bit north of the lighthouse . I don't think it's safe to swim out... More
