Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was cancelled because of bad weather. However, I worked with Victor over the phone, and he was thorough and professional in helping me plan this trip, and when it fell through, he was equally thorough and professional in notifying me and giving me my refund. Based on my dealings with him and his office (Cancun), I have no reservations about recommending him and the Wisest Travel company for tour arrangements and booking.

We were so worn put by the end of the exciting adventure. First ATV's through a jungle of mangrove and palm around swampy areas up and down hills and along the beach finished with hold on for dear life speeds on the wave-runners! The scenery was amazing and words can't describe how much fun we had.

A few things to beware of:
1. The jewelry store is really, really wonderful, but they are going to push you for a sale. I ended up getting three items--a ring, earrings, and a bracelet--and loving EVERYTHING, but the manager (NOT the salesman--my salesman was wonderful and didn't at all try annoying hard sales techniques) was pretty obnoxious. When I expressed concern that the item i was buying was missing a few stones, he dismissed my concerns and just kept repeating that the stones would be added. Yes, I understood that, I told him, but I was also concerned that an item was missing stones simply from sitting in a case: would it be resilient once I bought it and started wearing it? His angry, dismissive response would normally have made me walk away, but I was in that "I'm on vacation and want a souvenir" mentality, which of course makes you vulnerable. I'm not REALLY sorry with what I purchased, but the more I think about that manager, the less happy I am that I didn't push back myself.
2. The tequila place will do a lovely tasting but then a pretty hard sell for (expensive) booze--not saying it isn't worth it, but I do think what we got (not straight tequila, but a tequila-based cream liquor) was about three times as expensive as it would have been anywhere else. We probably should have skipped this.
3. Fifth Avenue is exactly what everyone says: full of folks calling you over to see and buy. We were stupid and fell for the "I know you from my hotel!!" and ended up paying way more than we should have for a couple shot glasses. Again, not TOTALLY sorry as they are beautiful, frosted glass and the man who sold them to us was beyond kind, wrapping them up and taping them so they'd be indestructible for travel, but it left us feeling like dumb, naive travelers, a sentiment we couldn't shake the rest of the trip. I know it's our fault for not being savvier, so if someone can read this and be more aware, you'd be fine. My husband was pretty annoyed at the fact that all of the shops seemed to be repeats of the same touristy stuff, as we had planned to get family gifts and struggled to find anything that wasn't total cheap crap, but that didn't bother me. It was essential, I think, to get away from the resort and see Playa del Carmen (though you're obviously in a touristy area here, at least you're experiencing Mexico outside of your all-inclusive. Ours (Secrets Capri) set up this trip as a free service, so don't pay for this on Trip Advisor before seeing if your hotel offers it. They took care of all of the transportation and, as usual, our drivers could not have been friendlier or sweeter. The highlight for us was a huge margarita in the restaurant dropoff meeting point!!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT HIRE THIS SO CALLED TOURISM COMPANY!!!!!
Pick up time was 5AM and driver never showed up. Didn't receive a call or anything. Attempted to email and it was a generic email address to which I got no answer. Called the customer service number and they didn't open until 7AM. When I placed my call at 7AM, the recording said "You are the next person in line to talk to a representative" yet no one picked up until 730AM. When I finally got to someone, they said they were going to find out and call me back. When they called back, they stated that the driver had difficulties and that's why no one showed up. When I asked why no one called, they stated that the driver's don't have the clients phone numbers to call and the main office who does have the numbers doesn't open until 7 so they couldn't reach out to us. Yet they knew the hotel and the room number, the driver could have easily placed a call to the hotel to let us know so that they wouldn't be coming but clearly this company could care less about it's customers.
As a business, if you are providing a service at 5AM then the driver should either have the clients numbers or someone needs to be at the main office in case something goes wrong. For them to believe that nothing would ever go wrong, shows the incompetence of who ever is in charge of the logistics here. Same goes for the customer service line, I'm not sure how many calls they get at 7AM to have me on hold for 30 minutes. And if you do receive that many calls, then they should change the hold message to say anything other than "you are next in line"

We added dolphins to our ticket as an add-on and were well pleased. The dolphins were amazing and it was a fun 40 minutes being in the water with them. They high-pressure you to buy pictures and we said, "No." They were something like 130.00. At the end of our stay, they asked us what we would pay, and I jokingly said, "$50. and they took it! We loved the food at Xei-Ha and thought it was great that we could get both lunch and dinner on the entrance fee. We did the lazy river and wished that it had some rapids. We snorkeled, which was great. The snorkeling equipment was top-notch. All in all, it was a great day.

Our guide on the van was Gustavo. He was absolutely great. He explained the ceremony very well so we knew exactly what to expect. It rained at the beginning of the ceremony and they let us complete the remaining part in the temazcal. It was a beautiful and peaceful experience.

I was a little bit sceptical about going on this tour due to lack of reviews and also the price (would it be worth the money?). I really enjoyed this unique experience to participate in the ceremony, swim in a covered cenote in the evening (with sea turtles) and have a Mayan meal so glad I went. I slept really well after the experience.
Only criticisms were that we got picked up from a random restaurant rather than our hotel in downtown (although we were the first of only three pick-ups so I didn't feel it would be putting the tour company out too much to have come directly to our hotel) and also that more water should have been provided before and after the sweat lodge.

We really enjoyed our day trip to Ek Balam and a ceynote with Pepe/All Tours Native. He really was informative about the Mayan Culture and even showed us illustrative movies to help us understand and visualize even more the information he gave us. We then went on to the ceynote where it was refreshing especially after climbing Ek Balam. Pepe was very personable and really conveyed his enthusiasm to all of us. I highly recommend taking this tour and we are glad we had Pepe as our guide.

Send them an email. They are very responsive!!
Is your flight direct? If not sometimes, the 2nd "flight" changes carriers.
Good luck.
