Got there after a visit to Coba and Grand Cenote, so it was about 5pm. They charged us $220 pesos, while the regular charge was $65 pesos. When we asked why, they said because we would get the sunset view. What? So we went all the way through and got out as it was getting dark. How many chances would... More

2 hour bus trip from hotel. Very nice air conditioned bus good tour guide. Went to Chichen Itza last time we were in the area so had to do Tulum. Very hot day about 115 degrees. There is however quite a bit of shade around as pretty lush few trees and mangroves. Pretty much on the ocean so some breezes... More

Tulum avenue is one of the main streets in downtown Cancun. It is NOT a Mayan ruin. It is a very busy street. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and hotels. Make sure that you pay attention when crossing the road. Go to the cross walks and even then you need to be careful.

There are no words to describe one of the most spectacular places in the world. Cancun offers to the national and foreign tourists many attractions, such as: incredible coral reefs for snorkeling and scuba diving, sport-fishing and jungle tours. Cancun was part of the ancient Mayan civilization and it is still considered the gateway to the Mayan World. White sand... More

Avenida Tulum means "Tulum Avenue" and it's basically a small shopping center just outside of the hotel zone. There are several shops in this area that are frequented by locals. It's definitely less "touristy" than down by the hotels, but some of the staff does not speak english. You can ride the bus right from the hotels for all of... More

We stayed in one of the hotels on Avenida Tulum for a week so walked it quite a few times. We ate and drank in a few local eateries but these were few and far between! This is a busy street with loads of traffic so if you expect a leisurely stroll think again, there are several side streets to... More

The only Mayan ruins on the coast, a definite must if you're interested in Mayan ruins. There is a lovely small beach there as well. I recommend taking a tour

Avenida Tulum is one of the main streets in Cancun. You can, quite literally, find anything you want here. Need a shared van to Playa del Carmen - or a bus to the Zone - no problem. Looking to book excursions or buy some milk and eggs - again, no problem. Lunch, dinner, dancing, pubs, shopping, they are all available!... More
