Really awesome open air church in Cancun. They also have a really neat gift shop full of keep sakes. This is a short bus or Uber ride from the Hotel Zone. They also have really great people on hand that will answer any questions etc.

Iglesia Cristo Resucito is the Catholic church in the hotel zone and part of this park. Located at KK3.5 it is easily accessible by any Route1 or 2 hotel bus for 9.5 pesos. The church has Saturday evening mass at 7:30. On Sunday masses are hourly from 8-2. The 9:00 is in English. This a beautiful open air church. Only A/C is in the adoration chapel. They have a website if you Google them. Not sure if mass schedule changes during high season.

My family of 4 (2 boys aged 11 and 13) spent our Christmas holidays in beautiful Cancun. Our vacation straddled Sunday (Dec 23) and Christmas Day (Dec 25) - we always make it a point to attend Mass even when we are on vacation.

Upon recommendation by our hotel's concierge, we took a taxi to this church on Sunday morning for Mass. On hindsight, we should have just taken the bus which plies the hotel zone. It would have cost a fraction of what we paid for the taxi. And the buses are convenient, ample and cheap. We took the bus for Christmas Day Mass though.

Mass in English is typically at 9am with sunset service the day prior at 6pm. But better to check with your hotel concierge.

The church is open air and breezy - a refreshing change. It is fit for purpose as the weather in Cancun is great to be without air-conditioner or heater. It got a little chilly though in the mornings. Love the main crucifix - a wooden larger than life statue of the Risen Christ!

All in all, a beautiful church with great English service.

P/S: We tried some local snacks after Sunday Mass (a makeshift staff at the entrance (inside) of the church selling tamales, pork tortas and empinadas which were all very tasty and cheap. My boys loved it and was looking forward to more on Christmas Day but as we should expect, the stall was not set up on that day :D

9:00 English mass with Irish priest. We stayed at riu palace peninsula and took the bus for $1.00 everyone on the bus going to mass - it was only 1/2 mile so you really could walk - beautiful church open air and the carved risen Christ suspended above the altar is breathtaking. Beautiful music by young people in choir loft - guitars accompanying - priest greets all outside. We felt welcomed and very much at home.

Anyone, including folks from the USA, who is Catholic, will have a change to rekindle their faith if they take the time to visit this quaint open-air Church. It takes you back to the days when there was only the Latin Mass. Behind the altar is an image of the Risen Christ and, on one side of the aftar, there is an elegant statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On Sundays, there are Confessions in English from 8AM to 9AM and Mass in English at 9AM. There are four Masses in Spanish on Sunday mornings [8, 10, 11, and noon] and four more in the evening [5, 6, 7, and 8PM]. Saturday evening Masses in Spanish are at 7PM and 8PM. Plus, there could possibly be a Quinceanera celebration at any of these Masses or even at an hour when there is no regularly scheduled Mass, especially on Saturday afternoons. These Spanish Masses are usually joyful as a result of the beautiful music and singing; however, the homily may be lost unless your Spanish is at least rudimentary.

The Adoration Chapel is usually open from 8AM until midnight and one extra benefit is that it is air conditioned !

This is a great place to rest your mind amidist all of the activities that go on in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

I am so glad we did this. We took bus #2 and were dropped off right across the street from the church. It costs about a dollar to ride the bus. There is an English mass at 9 o'clock on Sunday. They were selling bags of food in the front of the church for five dollars. These were donated during the Offertory and passed out to families after the service. There was such a feeling of peace and tranquility. don't miss this experience. It will make you feel so much better.
