Spent an afternoon there learing more about the history of Mayans in this region of Mexico. Visit the museum and then go to the ruins in the area. Good exhibits but wish the placards were also in English. So were and some not. Outside the bulding you can walk to the excavations on site. You would never know you were... More

There are some small outdoor ruins to see as well as the lovely museum itself. We were there for a little more than an hour. My three teenage children all enjoyed it and took many pictures. Admission is inexpensive. Definitely worth a visit. Very Close walking distance to the Emporio Resort.

This was an informative museum on the Mayan history in the area. The onsite ruins are great to see. And being so central to the tourist area.

We were surprised by the richness of archeological discoveries 15 minutes away! It's a must see temple hidden in the local forest!

Really enjoyed the museum. Lots of information and the cost was really reasonable. Lots of effort done to ensure a great experience was enjoyed by all who visited.

Nice little museum to visit and easily accessible. We went on a Sunday and there were lots of locals as their entrance is free on that day. The museum is divided in two sections. The indoor section has many ancient artifacts and descriptions both in English and Spanish as well as a few videos worth taking the time to listen... More

This museum provides a comprehensive, but approachable overview of the Mayan culture with many beautiful artifacts from various time periods. The grounds also include a small Mayan ruin. We visited this museum before touring Tulum and Chichen Itza and found it very helpful in understanding what we ultimately saw. It is located on Blvd. Kulkulkan with easy access from the... More

This was a really impressive collection of Mayan artifacts, with excellent written history accompanying the displays. If you have no prior knowledge of this culture, you should certainly go. There is an outside site to walk through, with the remains of ancient buildings. If you're not going to leave Cancun ( which you really should!), this will give you a... More
