Nice one hour visit to learn the history of the Mayan people. Good quality videos. Only one room open during our visit. Others closed for refurbishing.

This was the first planned stop on our trip. We were able to walk through the doors right when the facility opened. The modern and clean architecture made the galleries much more attractive. The ruins also created an authentic experience.

Sorry, we do not know if there are guides or not. We do recall that English language signage has improved since the first year.

Bus drivers will nod "Yes" even if they don't speak English. It is part of being nice in Quintana Roo. Ask to get off at the Captains Cove, or Museo Maya de Cancun.
