Avenida Kukulkan is the long and main road through Cancun. Most of the major hotels are located here. There are many plazas, restaurants, small shops and discos on this street. It is not a place to walk. However, the bus stops are quite close to each other. You will be looking for an R-1 bus. The cost of a ticket... More

There are many shipping areas, malls, restaurants and beaches down this main venue of Cancun. We took a bus down the whole street, then chose where we wanted to visit. There were very nice and also flea market type malls.several types of for everyone. The buses stop anywhere you ask them to.

Went alone on my first trip to Cancun and was not disappointed or uncomfortable even for a minute. The avenida is beautiful. Some days I rode a bus along, some days a taxi, but on occasion I just took a stroll (as many other people do). Very clean and overall esthetically pleasing.

More

It is an easy sight seeing tour just going from one end to the other... restaurants, shops, malls, hotels, beaches... you can take a bus or drive your own vehicle... it works! And the best part: You can't get lost!!

I love Avenida Kukulcan, it is where most of the action in Cancun happens. However, should you decide to rent a car and drive, you will face a myriad of rude and aggressive local drivers, especially the taxi drivers and you will also have to be careful with the many pedestrians who seem quite suicidal and literally run or walk... I've been to Cancun before and really like this avenue. It has many shops, malls, restaurants and hotels. You can find pretty much anything and there's also public transportation. Very fun to visit at night--all night clubs are there.

It's a beautiful scenic route of the Hotel Zone of Cancun... Although full of fast erratic traffic, very poor in signals and lots of Jay crossing...
