Took the ferry to Isla Mejueres from Cancun. The line up to get on the ferry was long however the crew was so well organized the wait was short and we were able to get on our way quickly. The trip took about 15 minutes to get there and back and there is on board live entertainment.

For your first time it is confusing as to where you get on the ferry. Otherwise, fast and efficient. Be prepared for them to try and sell you on their affiated golf cart rental. Price is competitive.

There are actually a few ways to get there. This one is a bit more money but it is more convenient, you can get it from the hotel zone and it is a smoother ride. I have done both, Iwill be taking the Ultramar from now on.

We took this ferry from the hotel zone in Cancun to a day trip to Isla Mujeres. The dock was within walking distance from our hotel. The schedule worked great to head over there in the morning, spend a couple hours tooling around the island on a golf cart, then popping back over to Cancun. We started the ride on... More

Outstanding transportation to Cozumel, seats clean and confortable, on the outer seating safety was a priority, everyone was pleasant. Would use it again

We took the Ultramar ferry from the hotel zone to Isla Mujeres. We made sure to hit the first ferry of the day to get to the island ahead of the crowds. On the way out we had a nice musician who was very entertaining. We also wound up renting a golf cart thru the Ultramar staff as it just... More

300 peso round trip...they start at 5:30 and end late with a every half hour departure. Typically have live music for the 15 minute ride...even in rough waters was smooth.

It is the same company that does the Playa-Cozumel route, but I thought the boats less confortable here. There are 4 piers where you can take the ferry to Isla Mujeres: Caracol, Tortugas, Embarcadero and Gran Puerto - the first 3 on the hotel zone. They usually departs on time. The trip takes about 20 minutes. There are different boats... More

While many young people take the sailing catamarans from the nearby marinas to Isla Mujeres the Ultramar ferry offers a great way to enjoy both a 30 minute boat trip each way and visit the slower paced and more laid back (vs Cancun) island of Isla Mujeres. We enjoy taking the ferry over in the morning, having lunch and exploring... More
