Don't go by your self unless you have a guide

It was the dirties beach you could ever see. People drinking and eating, and leaving garbage all al over with out any authority controlling this wild behavior. Fortunately we rented a nice clean hours, and hired a local excursions company to enjoy some sand boarding in the beautiful dunes

Disappointing

Went on a cloudy day so there were very few people there. You get a parking spot and a table, chairs and umbrella for free provided you purchase food and drinks. The beach and surf compare to Galveston. The food was okay. There were too many stray dogs roaming around. I doubt I'll ever go back.

Authentic Mexican beach experience
Oct. 2016 • Friends
A typical beach full of typical Mexican beach experiences. You can "rent" a table by buying drinks and foods from a vendor. They come to your table and offer seafood and drinks. We had wonderful drinks served in pineapples. Lots of different kinds of vendors come to your table as well. It's a pleasant way to experience the beach. Take a taxi from town.

Good fun, but don't expect anything relaxing
May 2016 • Couples
The beach was dirty and the sea unappealing. Most of the people parked their cars on the beach and blasted reggaeton from the speakers all afternoon. There is also the constant sound of motorbikes and quads whizzing past you. Then you get the local vendors selling crap every 30 seconds. They are not rude or anything, I just find it frustrating. This beach is great if you want to hire a quad or motorbike and ride through the dunes then return for a beer, and it's really cheap. But if you want sunbathing and relaxing, go somewhere else.

Beautiful place I loved it

I was here in a January day. Not too many people. The ir was so clean and crisp. I saw the sun set in the mountains and the moon rise from the Ocean. Can it get any better?

Hidden gem of a beach!

Love this clean and little known to foreigners beach. It terms of local beaches this one is definitely the cleanest due to its location north of Veracruz (City). If you're into guided fauna-watching-boat rides, you'll find plenty of opportunities to do so here. A nice set up of a table, chairs and patio umbrella included when you purchase from the beach restaurants.

Amazing outdoors adventure
Jan. 2015 • Family
We rented quad bikes and had a fantatic time there, even though it was raining during half of our stay. Simple accomodations nearby but that shouldn't be an issue if you're the outdoorsy type.

Fun Experience!

The beach is nothing out of the ordinary for a beach in the Gulf.

The four-wheeler ride, though, is super nice! It is not that expensive considering you are out there about 2 hours. The coastline is very beautiful and there are no swimming guests as far out as the ATVs go, so you get to enjoy the views even more.

The ATVs are guided through sand dunes. The dunes are semi-divided into a section that is more kid friendly (not as steep), versus the "wild" section where I would not go with my 6 year old.

After the dunes, there is a "forrest" section that you drive through. There are some cows, who are so skinny, you feel hungry for them.

Just a local beach

This beach is good enough if you live nearby, but not if you have to take a plane to get there. I think it´s good enough to go for the weekend, but not to stay for a whole week.

Great experience out of season
Jun. 2014 • Friends
Impressive sea and dunes, with no tourists (especially no foreigners) around. It is possible to take some hiking paths behind the dunes in a small forest. We enjoyed the nature, tasty food in the only one open bar and warm, powerfull sea waves.
