My jaw dropped with I saw some of the original work at Voces de Copal. Much of it has been done by two artists and the skill and craftsmanship will keep you enthralled. DO NOT miss this great gallery.

Our hotel was right next to this artisanal shop specializing in alebrijes (intricate wooden, brightly-colored animal carvings). They have a wonderful selection at good prices. Make sure you make a visit here while you're in Oaxaca!
