We went to the zoo early before it was too hot. There is no cost to go to the zoo. We didn't have a tour or guide. We went on our own. If you would like a drink or any food, you will need to...More

Visited Chapultepec Zoo today and was shocked. It is cruel to the animals and would be better off for the animals to be closed. Turtles in enclosures without water. Crow in open enclosures (small) with wings cut so it couldn't fly. Horrible conditions when so...More

This is a well organized zoo with a fair assortment of animals. Entrance is free, except for their insect and butterfly section. Animals are in decent cages, with some habitat like space.

The zoo is in bad shape although the animals are well taken care of. We went to see the panda and he was sitting in a hammock all by himself. The animals quite often were mislabeled lie the lions were in the tiger cage. It...More

We had so much fun at the zoo. The animals were the liveliest I've ever seen at a zoo. The tapir was trotting around, the hippos were huffing and blowing water, the prairie dogs were digging holes. We went on a weekday morning and there...More
