After spending four hours inside the National Museum of Anthropology we thought lets hit the ZOO and see how it compares to others we have visited. Entrance is free. Security will check you bags as you enter the and I was happily surprised that they allowed us to bring our drunks into the zoo. The zoo itself is quite large... More

For a light-hearted day we ventured to the zoo with some mixed emotions, but for the most part were pleased with the size of the enclosures and environment in which the animals were kept. We were there during the week day and there were no crowds, and we arrived early when the heat of the day had not kicked in... More

Try to go during the work week, if you can, to avoid the ENORMOUS weekend crowds. But even if you go on weekends it is a most pleasurable experience, with an incredible variety of animals to see.

We (2 seniors, 5 adults and 2 kids (4 and 6)) spent the day here, from opening to closing. Or was awesome!! This so is super clean. The animal exhibits were nice and most seemed big enough for the animals. They had lots of cool animals, and the layout makes it easy to do sections or the whole zoo. We... More

We have not been to a zoo in over 10 years as we are not fans of the idea of keeping animals caged such as they do, however we decided to give this a try to see if our opinions had changed. The zoo itself is conveniently located at the centre of the large park in the centre of the... More

The zoo in Chapultepec Park is free to all visitors and gets extremely crowded on weekends. That said, the park is well organized, clean and has a great selection of animals (including pandas!). It takes couple of hours to experience the zoo at a leisurely pace. Great stop during your visit to Mexico, especially if you have young children.

We decided we would see as many attractions as we could within the Chapultepec park. We walked along the pathways and unassumingly walked into the zoo located within the park grounds. We spent nearly three hours there with the intent of only stopping in to take a quick peek. I do not love the idea of zoo's however my husband... More
