Our pedalo was malfunctioning and had sprung a leak, but we still managed to make it around the circuit without sinking to the bottom. Added an extra layer of excitement. The lake was packed with pedalos and rowboats. People were narrowly missing each other and laughing when contact was made! Life jackets mandatory.

If you have 2-3 spare hours in CDMX I highly recomend you to go to Chapultepec Park and stroll around. Lake is perfect place to relax after busy business day.

Nice romantic place to rent some boat, but also gets very crowded on weekends. They have cinema events there sometimes, but you will have to get tickets in advance to get a place. Also have a look at caso del lago, a cultural hub from mexicos biggest university unam.

There were many locals out on the boats (including swan boats and pedalos) on a sunny Sunday. The lake is part of the huge park which is a great escape from the bustling city and worth a visit as you take a stroll around the park.

This place is awesome and a very welcome oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle that is Mexico City. They even have a couple of those boats that are big swans which I thought was cool. The green color to the water makes it seem unkept and dirty.

Extremely disappointing. Disgusting filthy water. Lake with cement banks. Several areas of the banks are fenced. Not worth it. Keep your time instead to see the Chapultepec castle and the lovely free parque zoologico.
