Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It really is a beautiful building to visit, specially if you are looking for some architectural history.

Built by the great architect Manuel Tolsa 200 years ago, this jewel remains a working place (i.e. palace). A superb library, fresco ceiling Chapel, imposing Hall of Events, beautiful staircase.
Make sure to hire a tour that you will certainly enjoy.

It is a great place for architecture lovers who want to know about Mexican architecture and different styles from another time. It is also a historical place and the ticket is very cheap around 2 dollars.

This amazing and unbeliavable place located next to "Palacio de Bellas Artes" is just a sample of the magnificent time MExico City lived at the middle of last century and the reason why for long time was called °La Ciudad de los Palacios° (City of Palaces). Is main square is often used for fairs such as the Book Fair (second largest in the country) but also for private events such as dinners and glamorous weddings. Don't forget to sneak around if you are in Mexico´s City Downtown

My wife and I have been to Mexico City seven times, and on most of those visits, we've tried to visit Palacio de Mineria. We still haven't seen it - except from outside. This trip was typical: Hanging outside the palace when we went there yesterday were a couple of those big banners that advertise exhibitions. They conspicuously touted the current exhibition, which supposedly runs from October something 2018 to February something 2019. And they conspicuously announced the hours the palace was open -- which included yesterday from (if I recall correctly) 10:00 to 5:30. We were there at 11:30 and, as you will have guessed, the place was closed. So we tried again today, Saturday, again at a time when the palace was advertised as open and again, of course, it was closed. I take it that the Palacio de Mineria is indeed open from time to time, but you absolutely cannot count on the accuracy of its website or even the banners hanging on the building.

Unfortunately we were not able to get in as we needed an appointment for a guided tour and we could not adjust to the available schedules.
It is a pitty we could not just walk in to the Palace.

We were there for the 38 FIL and we were struck by its beauty and charming. It was so packed that we thought we were going to passed out and even in the mayhem of it all we loved every second that we spent there. The regal stairs, the architecture and everything about it was truly fantastic.

We only stopped at the Palacio de MinerÃa to see the four meteorites that landed on Mexico more than 50,000 years ago. It’s possible to see the meteorites displayed out in front without having to visit with a tour of the building.
