However dining is more than just about the food. Had a perfectly decent mole, short but strong margaritas. Very nice service. Great atmosphere. Very few decent options, surprisingly, in this area so a good choice if you’re in the neighborhood

Famous restaurant. The ceiling has a bullet hole shot by Pancho Villa, Mexican Revolutionary. Service was a little slow, the bus boy was very fast and efficient. Food was delicious. The cheese plate was good, my fried whole fish was delicious. Salsa and tortillas. Good...More

We just dropped in the see the Villa bullet holes and decides to have a drink. Although the staff knew we were just there to look around the bartender Fabian was so kind he brought us an appetizer on the house. A must stop.

Stopped there for a drink, we pay a 200 ticket with a 1000 bill to get the change as if we paid with a 500 bill, and there is nothing you can do. Management, waiter and cashier all colluded, a mafia gang.

I loved La Opera bar. Not because of particularly outstanding service, but simply for the historic value. The great architecture is a plus. I ordered, and enjoyed, the tortilla soup with a couple of beers. I do not have a whole lot to say about...More

Sure the place is atmospheric, but that's about it. The food is not good, the service very impersonal. And they add funny things to your bill. The best option is certainly to come and have a drink by the bar. But you should avoid the...More

I went there over the weekend with a friend and the manager was rude and wouldn't give us a table even though half the place was empty because we were only 2 customers. There are far better options downtown with a much better service
