Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

80% of the stuff disappears. (If things are Under maintenance then dont open the house) There are many empty boxes. Security with outdoor capacity of 30 people is a joke. Waiting for 45 mins paying the higher entrance fee to see the small main room, empty kitchen, and empty toilet is a waste of time. Security keeps saying clear off of the entrance for people to come out when there is another exit. Well, let me say this. This is the most horrible tourist experience. Security should be better trained and stop with this limited capacity thing in outdoor stuff. The place can easily have 70 people with better management.

Súper disappointed! We get here and we have all the explanations sanitation gel in your hand a lot protocol but when we paid the ticket USA $2 nobody told us that in a few minutes the house is going to close. Mi boyfriend used the bathroom and when he try to get inside the first house (Riveras) he couldn’t because the staff stated cleaning so we came to here for nothing. This museum workers need to be better instructed about how to explain the times of the museum to the visitors Instead to much intrusion on cov protocol

Interesting place where Frida lived with her husband, at that time leeway famous artist. Build I. 1931, incredibly modern house. Very laconic, functional, simple, convenient, lots of light. Worth a visit if you like modern architecture. A tip- San Angel Inn next door - is a fantastic restaurant for a launch or dinner, house in a traditional Mexican mansion.

Very little tourism and traffic, but well worth the visit. Diego's home is filled with surprising pieces of art and an insight into how he created. He also has a beautiful photo of Frida on the loft floor (before entering the room that bridges the two houses). In Frida's home, there is really nothing except for mesoamerica relics from Diego's collection. The hundreds-/thousands-years old statues and relics are really fascinating and beautiful.
Definitely walk the bridge that connects the two homes. It was quite amusing to think that they used this walkway to visit each other.

Amazing to see where Diego an Frida had their studio it beautiful and the architect that built it was so ahead of times, so is his house with beautiful windows that open completely to let nature enter. The division from his house to the studio and also the division from the street are lines of cactus that served the purpose ad also look beautiful.
The studio was equipped to be able to spend
the night. It has a small kitchen and bedroom
It’s very impressive and worth seeing it.

Last place both Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo lived in adjoining studios.. Not much content except a few pieces. But the building designed by modernist Juan O'Gorman in 1931 is way ahead of the times.

It is a place that must be known as part of Diego and Frida's route, it is also a super interesting construction designed by Juan O'Gorman. Sadly, we were told that the space is being remodeled and we only saw a small part of it. The good thing about the situation was that the director of educational services at the museum gave us a whole lecture on the architectural style and various curiosities.

Great surprise after a disappointing cross-town trip to the Museum and home of Frida Kahlo.
One gets to walk through the entire complex and get up close and personal with Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo memorabilia. The grounds are open without a ticket for sitting around and chatting, but you'll need a ticket to get into the buildings.
The location is amazing. I'm not an art expert, but one can get a very good feeling for the creative environment in this quiet Mexico City neighborhood.

I LOVED this museum and have always loved Kahlo's work. Being here transports you to the days of Frida and Diego. Her "blue house" was her family's home and has wonderful articles from the family. Her dress styles are so beautiful I wonder why we don't wear this style today

how close is this to Frida's Casa Azul museum in Coyoacan? is it reasonable to do both museums in the same day on a weekend? Sat or sunday?
Written 11 November 2015
Hello! Diego Rivera's Studio is about a 15 min walk from Frida Kahlos. That walk crosses some big streets so I recommend taking a taxi. However, they are both very doable in one day. You need about 2-3 hours for Casa Azul and 1 hour is sufficient for Diego Rivera's studio. Diego Rivera's studio is also across from the San Angel Inn which is an old hacienda turned hotel and restaurant. They have really good margaritas if you need a break in between museums.
I would go to the Frida Kahlo museum first and go early (before 10 am) if you go on a weekend because it is very popular and there is always a 30 minute line. Enjoy!
