Whether you prefer nature or museums, there will always be something for everyone in Chapultepec. The best of the park are definitely the Castle of Chapultepec as well as the zoo. If you want something both cheap and interesting, Chapultepec is sure to please.

So much to see and do on a weekend day. Great place to shop for gifts if that's on your to do list, and people watch.

Chapultapec Park is a huge and beautiful park with lots of activities to do. The only negative is that there's really nothing to eat so either bring you own food or eat before or after your visit. There's also nothing close by.

It's a long walk from the front of the gate to the castle. Although, there are lots to do. A lot of vendors, photo ops, people watching, etc. Bring an umbrella on those hot days.

It has pretty much everything you'd expect from a main park of a major cit - trees, museums, a lake, food, attractions for all ages etc.

This park is in 3 sections but most people still to section 1 where the castle and lake is. Still lovely and you can get away from the stalls and the crowd by walking to the top section. It is a great city park and...More

Be sure to set aside time to wander Chapultepec Park. This park was full of vendors with food and artisan items. We felt like part of the city while losing ourselves in the winding walkways. Don't forget to rent a lancha on the lake and...More

It's a huge parkland in Mexico City and both the National Anthropology Museum and the Chapultepec Castle are within it among other museums. The Anthropology Museum is a MUST, it is a culturally eye-opening experience. We didn't visit the castle, didn't have time and we...More

There is so much to do at the park. Make sure you have time to go to the castle, the museums, the zoo, and a boat ride on the lake. There are vendors that sell food and souvenirs as well. I am glad I finally...More

We're planning to go here on a Sunday but it looks like rain. Will it be as active even if it is going to rain? The other option would be to go on a weekday, but I heard sundays are best

We will be in Mexico City on a layover early next year. We've been to Chapultepec Park for just a visit to the Museum Of Anthropology many years ago. But we always wanted to get more of the park experience. We land in MEX on a Monday afternoon when things are closed, but we could still walk around and enjoy the park. We were thinking of staying at The Grand Fiesta Americana near the park and spending all day Tuesday seeing another museum or maybe two and taking a walk around a little of the park and flying out Wednesday. Is one full day enough time to get some of the park and one or two sites in? Thanks!

I think one full day will be plenty ! Different days of the week will probably have a different atmosphere - Sundays more lively than other days perhaps !
