Chapultepec Park is huge, vibrant and loved by the people of Mexico City. Home to museums, walkways, gardens and hundreds is stalls, Chapultepec Park is a wonderful place to explore and experience Mexican culture.

We went for a walk around the park at 8 am for an hour, waiting for the Anthropology museum to open, and it was brilliant. Full of early morning joggers, I recommend walking up to the Castle gates and taking in some brilliant views of...More

Loads of walking paths in this huge park. The park also houses the Museum of Modern Art, the Archeology Museum, a botanical garden, zoo, and carousel. Loads of vendors hawk their wares on weekends and the park is extremely crowded... It's well-maintained and there is...More

The park houses the México City Zoo, has a lake and vendors by the thousand! All the avenidas are lined with food stalls, souvenir stalls and rubbish stalls. There are peddle boats on the lake and various rides but it's not what modern parlance would...More

Visited it by a bike tour, worth experiencing the vastness. The shaded lanes were welcome respite from any heat. I will have to return for the Anthropologie Museo and the Castle.

Only recently opened, an old waterworks in the park contains stunning Diego Rivera murals that were originally intended to be under water. Coolest ever!

Cities are often defined by their parks and if that is the case, this one does Mexico City proud. It's large and filled with beautiful waking paths, lakes, spectacular museums and a zoo. The vendor carts are an experience and take away from the peacefulness,...More

There were families everywhere enjoying the sunshine and the atmosphere was beautiful. There were performers, people with huge bubbles and kids running around happily. There were lots of stalls selling food, and nobody pestered me. I stumbled across this scene when going to visit the...More

I think one full day will be plenty ! Different days of the week will probably have a different atmosphere - Sundays more lively than other days perhaps !
