Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must in the city.
Safe environment.
Make sure to drink fast because they stop selling beer before the show ends.
Best will be to Uber. Parking can be difficult.

I went on a Friday with my friends. We went to a ticket master station near the Zocalo the same day. I was able to get good tickets but if you want better tickets buy them one day before at least. I think the best seats are on the right side of the ring entrance. DONT buy tickets to people outside the arena. The real luchador masks INSIDE the arena are around 80 dllrs. The non real masks outside are 30 dllrs. You can buy TORTAS, Nachos, beer and water inside the Arena at 5 dllrs. If you are in Mexico City this is a place you MUST visit. If you have time, you can take the Luchas Turi Bus at Zocalo for 30 dllrs.

went whilst on business trip, luckily a local colleague bought tickets as it might be a bit daunting if you don't speak Spanish. walked from Hotel on Ave Reforma with no issue but we were in group of 20. best night for many years, go early to catch the start and by the end you'll be into the swing of when to cheer or boo, just a great atmosphere shared with 10K locals

Recent reviews in English suggested taking Uber for security. When I was there Sunday afternoon to buy a ticket, and in the evening after the performance, the streets were full of happy people and didn't seem threatening at all. The Balderas Metro station is four blocks away; you can walk there in less than 10 minutes through crowds of non-dangerous-looking people.

(Tip: Balderas gets jammed with people after a show. If you're headed north on the 3 line or east on the 1 line, you might want to walk a bit farther to Niños Heroes or Cuauhtémoc and snag a seat before the train gets to Balderas? I didn't try that, so I don't know what the streets are like.)

A fantastic experience! We bought tickets on the door (after a short queue) and made our way in to the dated but atmospheric arena.

We went to the family friendly Sunday show, which featured some of the big names in Mexican wrestling but there are also shows on Thursdays and Saturdays. The Sunday show wasn't any where near sold out but the locals and the wrestlers helped make a good atmosphere.

The show lasted for around 2 hours and featured 5 different high-flying matches.

The area around the arena wasn't particularly appealing, so take an Uber there and back.

There's stalls outside the entrance selling masks and other memorabilia.

We were nervous at first, we read alot of not so good things about the area of town it is in. We took an UBER to the front doors and home it was easy. We also walked around some of the vendors outside to buy things. There was police everywhere so we felt very safe. We went in line and got tickets which was easy. Then you go through a security check better than the airport. We had an excellent night, that felt very safe. There was families with kids and grandparents. It was awesome.

Amazing Mexican wrestling. Buy tickets early and skip the line. Tons of food and drinks to buy at the stadium. Worth every penny.
