This museum has all the cool kitchy and contemporary Mexican art that you can buy in the store afterwards. Starting with the full-size bead-encrusted Volkswagon beetle, we enjoyed this museum all the way through. My teenage daughter hates museums, but she loved this one!

A few floors of fantastic pieces. Beautiful layout, great museum Shoppe. Definitely a place to visit more than once. A must on your Mexico City museum/gallery list.

Another downtown museum just off the main drag has all the wonders of Mexican folk art. The alebrijes (paper mache or wood fantastic figures used in festivals) welcome you as soon as you enter the museum. Easily a couple of hours of wonder.
