The trip up the mountain can seem somewhat long, slow, and tedious, but once you are in the top, you realize it is totally worth it. Spectacular views!!! Great food at the entrance as well.

I am very partial to this place. I am Catholic and just loved this church. Its history. Its architecture. Its grounds. The interior just so peaceful. Remarkable all-around landscape of surrounding cities.

Before attempting your assent to the top, make sure your car has good breaks and that your radiator works and that it has plenty of anti-freeze in it to prevent over heating. It will take about an hour to reach the top, depending on that day's traffic. On the way up (or down) don't be alarmed if you see locals... More

An absolute must see. Peaceful and gorgeous view of Silao.we hired a private taxi to take us from the holiday in to the Cristo Rey, he waited an hour, then took us to Guanajuato city.

Takes a bit of effort on windy roads to get here, but worth the view at the end, both of the fantastic statue and church, but also over the landscape of Guanajuato

This overlook with a religious theme is considered a sanctuary by Catholics, nevertheless it is worth the visit since from the top you can see the Bajio region of Mexico including the city of Guanajuato, Silao, and Leon. The view is amazing. But the trip there is long through a winding stone pavement road
