When you visit this cathedral, you know you’ve been to church. This space is so conducive to prayer!!!

mexico, beside very friendly people and good beers, they have history to offer, come to this big city and see how they save historical places, unless like some other nations

The place is in center of GDL and provides nice views. It's one of the tourist attraction in GDL and you will find a mix of tourist and locals visiting this place. Locals perform dance on the streets near the campus and fountain area.

Maybe I've just been to too many cathedrals, but there was nothing special or outstanding about the one facing Guadalajara's HUGE main square. At least visiting cathedrals is free.

Impressive building. Don't miss the crypt under the altar. The building however feels smaller from inside than it looks on the outside.

It is a beautiful Cathedral, I recomend visiting on October 12, on this day every year, our lady of Zapopan is taken on a procesion to her home, the Zapopan Basilica, meanwhile there are food stands, games, musical and cultural activies all around the Cathedral.

best place to spend time with the family, listen to music, sit around, have a snack, beer, or dinner. Tons of families do the same every weekend. Great architecture if you want to get pictures.

Simply one of the most gorgeous architectural structures on EARTH!!! PERIOD!!! Go visit early evening or evening to enjoy the incredible illumination in the square adjacent to this gorgeous structure.

As i am not religious, my visit was solely for historical and architectural pleasure. The cathedral includes a nice plaza out front, a really cool old world vibe, and some really brilliant artwork.

This cathedral was originally built in the 1500's and stands majestically in the center of Guadalajara. During the day, there is a sudden hush when walking in from the big main plaza, giving you the feeling of awe and quiet reflection. Overhead is the dizzying...More
