Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Guadalajara is a very beautiful city in Mexico. It is known for tequila and mariachi music, both born in Jalisco, the state of which Guadalajara is the capital. Guadalajara's historic center has colonial plazas and landmarks like the neoclassical Teatro Degollado and a cathedral with twin golden spiers. The Government Palace houses famous murals by the painter José Clemente Orozco, among many more traditions such as the charreria, that is why I really liked going to Guadalajara.

A beautiful example of Mexican churches. Massive space with an extremely gilt and polished bronze details..Attempt to see and hear some of a mass since that is when the space comes alive and what it was designed for.

Go in the morning and again in the afternoon to see the play of light through the stained glass windows. In the evening enjoy the cool breezes and snacks from passing vendors while sitting outside to admire the cathedral as it is lit up.
PS. It is really two churches side by side; the cathedral and the parish church

I went with my friends and we had an amazing time. Without a doubt it is something that makes you feel out of the ordinary. I highly recommend the place. It makes you believe in yourself. It reminds you why you are here.
If you're reading this. I invite you to come to the place. You will not regret it.
you can ride a bike
You can go for coffee in the mornings while watching the sun rise.
You can take all the photos you want
you can buy souvenirs
It is a wonderful place.
The food in the place is a little expensive but it is really worth it. It is too exquisite.

Located in the center, you can see it from afar. Its construction is beautiful on the outside and beautiful on the inside, you have to dedicate time for a visit, go down to its catacombs, read a little about their history over time. And appreciate every detail it has, from the seats to the stained glass windows, very beautiful.

In the center of this place there is a very beautiful cathedral.
Around there are department stores and its striking and beautiful garden.
The train passes near the center and it is very nice to see that scene and more at sunrise or sunset.
In that place they have a different culture than other places in Mexico, there are things that are said very differently from what we normally know, but it is nice and fun to learn about different things.

There are so many photos of this cathedral because it absolutely dominates the center of Guadalajara. Despite the over exposure it does not disappoint. It is a beautiful building and is still actively used as a church. You’ll mix with worshipers, families, tourists, and locals as soon as you enter. The walls are lined with shrines and monuments to saints and the Holy Family. The ceiling is wonderful to look at. There is a shrine below the altar that contains two tombs, presumably of the founding father or missionaries who first came to Guadalajara, one dated to the mid-1500’s! It’s a must see and you’ll enjoy sitting in the plazas and people watching.

It's a nice area to visit not for a long time but great architecture beautiful landmark an amazing cathedral. there is several people begging for money outside which is kind of annoying and a turn off. If it's a Tourist Destination keep it clean and free of transients.

I visited the Guadalajara Cathedral on my Expedia Guided Tour of GDL & Tiaquepaque on Wednesday Morning December 26 2018.This may be possibly the most impressive Church i've ever been in and I include ones in Costa Rica and Havana Cuba on that list. One of the things that's most interesting and surprising is that it was designed by an Italian so it doesn't look most Churches in Latin America & The Caribbean. If you're in Guadalajara and want to check out some interesting spots and architecture to see then I'd say check out The Guadalajara Cathedral.

How much do they charge to get married in the cathedral of Guadalajara?
Written 10 April 2019
I’m not sure, but remember that the church building belongs to the government, but it is a Roman Catholic parish. They might not allow non Catholic weddings.
