My favorite local market
Jul. 2018
This market is larger and its prices are cheaper than any other tianguis in the area. Skip Ajijic, and the organic market - where you will pay inflated prices. This is where the locals shop. The produce is outstanding- but very fresh, so be prepared to eat it within a day or two of purchase.

It began great, but....
Nov. 2017 • Solo
Hello my friends. This is the typical case of a great idea and gradually changing to a different (not a good different) purpose. Don´t get me wrong, for all you visitors you´ll find a great space to find cool stuff, from local art to a taste of local gastronomy. However, local vendors are starting to transform a great local market to an average Mexican tianguis. Not to mention the impossibility to park a car nearby, the increasing crowd and the lack of trash cans! Even so, for Saturday afternoon (the sooner you get here the better), it´s a good walking option.

Nice place for a walk
Apr. 2017 • Couples
They have lots of arts crafts for sell, different from one stand to the other. There is also lots of places to eat and to go for a drink. Get comfortable shoes and don't dress flashy and walk around.

Cute market

I ran into this Tianguis on my first night here. There are lots of Indians from the country selling handicrafts and beaded jewelry, as well as performers and fortune tellers and things like that. Lots of family and young kids. I did not purchase anything, but I did have my fortune read by a parakeet for 30 pesos. It's a nice environment, clean and safe. Not worth a special trip, but if you happen to be staying in the area it's worth walking around.

Lots to see in a single street
Oct. 2016 • Couples
This is a great place to do multiple things in a same area. On the street you can find local artistry and crafts, old books and odd things, and on the sides there are multiple bars, restaurants, museums and places to explore. Very fun place to spend a couple of hours in, grab a bite and then a drink.

Condo in Chapultepec
Apr. 2016 • Family
My family stayed in Chapultepec area of Guadalajara in April 2016. We had a wonderful 4 Bedroom - 5 Bath condo that was absolutely perfect. Located in a high rise that overlooked the city. The street behind the condo is full of restaurants of many different kinds, ice cream shops, even taco stands. It included a parking garage and pool located on the roof. We even hired a local lady to clean for us and cook authentic Mexican breakfast each morning for an additional fee. It was much less than staying in a name brand hotel. I'm happy to provide additional information on booking this wonderful condo/apartment.

Lovely place to walk and see.
Jul. 2015 • Friends
I love this place. The avenue is beautifully decorated and there's lots of people Saturday nights. Artisans set up a tianguis where you can find lots of handcrafts. There are many bar and restaurant options throughout and there's always lots of things to do here. A nice place to spend an evening with the family or friends. Highly recommended.

Great place to take a walk and check out the artisanal products!
Apr. 2015 • Friends
The tianguis on Chapultepec takes place every Saturday starting at around 7pm and during the Christmas holidays it will be open for a week or so. If you would like to take a stroll and check out some artisanal goods, this is the place to go. The neighborhood is very lively on weekends, there are many places to eat and many times there are other free activities going on such as small musical performances etc. Also, if it´s not Saturday, it´s still a great place to take a walk!

Nice walk
Mar. 2015 • Couples
I recommend it on saturdays after 7PM.
Different people will go and display their own talent.
Some of them would be nice and other not so much. Anyway, the variety makes it fun.
Also, there are many dinner options in the area
