Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rotunda de los Jaliscans Illustres (Rotunda of the Illustrious Jaliscans)
Beautiful park with large circle of pillars in the center. monuments surrounding the park with famous Jaliscans: Francisco Rojas Gonzalez ( Anthropology and literature), Manuel Lopez Cotilla ( educator), Fray Antionio Alcade Barriga, Pedro Moreno (insurgent), Jose Clemente Orozco (painter), Luis Barragan ( architecture), just to name a few. Shame the center is gated so you can’t walk around the pillar structure.

You will find this Hall of Fame in the plaza to the north side of the Cathedral and it is ringed with 30 bronze statues of famous people from the state who were writers, revolutionaries, architects and one woman, Rita Perez Jiminez, heroine of the War of Independence (1779-1861). Within the walls is a rotunda , under which some of the greats are buries. Impressive.

The plaza immortalizes the illustrious sons and daughters of this State and of Mexico - what a fitting tribute to those who gave so much of their lives and service to their country and thus, to the world.

A nice gardened park where a series of simple metal sculptures are placed as hommage to a select group of public persons among whom politicians, artists, intelectuals. Nice neighbourhood to walk arround.

This is my favorite historical place in Guad. It's everything I always imagined Mexico to be. Highly recommended.

The Rotonda is beautiful, specially at night when is illuminated. You'll feel like you're in Europe.

This rotunda is on Hidalgo, across the street from the Cathedral. Around the rotunda are statues of some of the famous, historic and cultural icons of this diversified state. It is an easy way to learn about the men and women who have contributed to the greatness of both their country and their home state. It is easy to walk around, there are benches for relaxing and watching.

A beautiful and very green space to relax in and enjoy the surrounding historical buildings. It seems quieter setting on one of the many benches provided and a great place to rest for a moment.
