Lucy's CuCu Cabana is a unique shop specializing in hand-picked, high-quality, authentic Mexican folk-art. Lucy and Gil travel all over Mexico for several months every year searching for original pieces. All of their merchandise is purchased directly from the artisans at fair prices. They have been in business for twenty years. Lucy's will be closed from May 1 to October 20 while the owners go on their annual shopping trip.

Lucy and Gil have an expertly curated collection of stunning folk art. They know each of their artisans personally, and have pieces you can't find anywhere else. Both gifted storytellers, Gil is also an incredibly funny author whose books I've devoured. Stop in and take an authentic piece of Mexico home with you.

Loved this shop. I bought all my gifts here. Lucy was lovely as were other people in the store. The selection was amazing--better than I found in Oaxaca. I was so happy to find it and can't wait to go back.

We make it a point to buy gifts here to take home for family & friends when we are in PV. Unique gifts from Mexican Artisans that the owners drive around Mexico selecting. Have brought home many pieces of very reasonably priced jewelry and animal themed pieces. My sister loves her cat pieces that we find here. Very cool and... More

We found this gallery after eating at Fredy's Tucan. We looked around and left. There was an indigenous mask we liked but didn't buy. After two days we decided we should have purchased it and spent two hours trying to find the gallery again. We walked in circles around it before we finally recognized it. The owner, Gil, had talked... More

Lucy's is along the main road of Basilio Badillo. She is a wonderful character with generous knowledge of the nearby sites and restaurants. AND the shop has unique, high quality Mexican artifacts. Prices seem reasonable too.

We stumbled upon Lucy's while out walking & returned many times & purchased multiple gifts there. Each item was carefully wrapped for our flight home. Lucy is a delight & her selection of folk art pieces was excellent. We highly recommend stopping in for some unique gifts.

Tiny shop with very carefully selected Mexican craft pieces. Lucy & Gil & their staff are terrific at helping pack & ship wonderful art pieces. Save yourself long hunts for take-home pieces.
