Aside from the rock, which can be annoying, this is the best beach in the "downtown" area. Just north of Centro, leading right into the Malecon, this beach is great when trying to find a bit of sand to call your own.

Excellent beach. While there are lifeguards, they are not always on duty. Easy to grab a blanket or towel, some beverages, and hit the beach.

Very mellow, you can catch all the sunsets and enjoy a brown paper bag beverage. Very family friendly and less vendors.

lovely beach, walked over from Boca. we were planning on walking to los animas but stayed and enjoyed the quiet beach and had drinks at the ocean grill.
