Not much going on here during the heat of the day. There were some performers all dressed up in traditional Mexican Indian Garb when we were there. They seemed more interested in wandering around collecting tips for photos with people, but its nice to see...More

When we went this year there were street musicians and fire dancers dressed in native clothing. The performance was fun. It's also a great place to take a break if you want to walk all of the Malecón.

On several occasions, while meandering down the Malecon, we would stop and have a cold drink or a picnic lunch purchased a local bakery on the benches here. It was a great place to stop that affords a bit of shade, as well as a...More

On the Malecon near the center of old town this small amphitheatre often has hucksters to entertain you. Whether it does or not its a great place to sit for a while, enjoy the sun and people watch.

When you visit The Church of the Lady of Guadalupe, be sure to take in this Plaza and remember to go back at night. Sunday nights are great here as the locals play music and dance.

During our almost nightly strolls along the Malecon there was usually a comedy show going on here. Although I am not too fluent in Spanish, these shows seemed taregeted toward the children who enjoyed it immensely. Clowns, conmedians, and fun.

Some nights the city offers cultural presentation at this place. It is easily spotted when walking around Malecon.

I heard about this festival during our taxi ride from the airport. It runs Dec 1-12 every year with a parade each night from 5-11 PM starting at the Woolworth store on Juarez street and ends at the church of Guadalupe/ Plaza de las Armas....More

It is a nice place to look out over the Bay of Banderas and see the shoreline of Puerto Vallarta. The centerpiece of the promenade along the beach is the Monumento El Caballito (Statue of the boy riding a seahorse). You can see the high-rise...More

We have seen anything from comedy shows with mimes to Flamenco dancing, concerts and lectures, in this amphitheatre of sorts. Almost exclusively en espanol, but fun even if you aren't fluent. If you are walking along the Malecon, you are going to pass it anyways,...More
