Worth visiting but not much different than the rest of the seaside. We enjoyed it as an entirety to the coast.

Old town was amazing. The people were all very friendly, architecture was varied and interesting and shops were fascinating. Food tour that we found with a local guide was excellent, good food and really inexpensive. First time we tried fried grasshoppers, which the guide found...More

Hard to believe it is even the same place as the busy city steps away. It is in a rain forest on a river with shops and restaurants all around. Watch out for the suspension bridge!

We got to experience the old streets and shops. Its hard to believe how much work must have gone into laying those cobble streets. We were treated to cherros made by a local gentleman as well as candy samples at a candy shop. Everyone is...More

I liked this area the best. Didn't seem so touristy. Lots of old charm, cobblestones streets, neat boutiques and restaurants. You can just get lost and walk for hours.

Lots of wonderful restaurants and stores. Could spend hours walking around. Lots of construction for improvements. Noticed some sidewalks are now wheelchair accessible

One of the great things about old Vallarta and the Zona Rosa is walkability--great exercise. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for the cobblestone streets. Enjoy climbing up the stairwells to enjoy beauctiful views of the city below and the ocean.

There are 2 free walking tours that I highly recommend given by the Tourism Office of Puerto Vallarta. The tour starts at their office location which is just off the Malecon at the corner across the street from the Church... More
