Great part of town, and a must-see if you're in PV. We love walking around cities, and this area was walkable, interesting, and had a lot of unique things to do. Shops, bars, restaurants, and old-world charm. Go see it!

We walked through Old Vallarta during our free tour provided by our resort. The greenery was lush and the buildings were adorable. It's a very peaceful, pretty place to walk through if you have a chance.

I really like watching people and this is one of those places you can go and ejoy food and drinks and also all the activity there. We went with friends and made a day of it. Would go again when we are back in P.V. Hopefully sooner than later.

I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for the past 6 years. I love everything about this area! Most of the restaurants in Old PV are tasty & reasonable. The sunsets are beautiful. The people are nice. Lots of fun stuff to do. Transportation to get around PV is pretty good. Cost of taxi is very readsona my. Enjoy😉❤️

We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for 28 years now and we love to walk the Malecon each day, maybe in the morning maybe in the afternoon, depending on the temperature, this has always been our favorite part of Puerto Vallarta, there is lots & lots of restaurant to choose from.

Old Vallarta is a great see. Lots of old architecture and good exercise. Very steep with cobblestone roads and multilevelled sidewalks. The walk back is much easier. Easy to stop for a drink or bite to eat. A good break from the crowds and sellers at the bottom of the hill which is Puerto Vallarta. Nice churches and a good... More

As a start this is not a walk if you don't like walking on cobblestones or climbing up stairs, or walking on hilly as opposed to flat streets There are galleries, restaurants but also many local shops many of which cater to locals as opposed to tourists. The market close to the water has items you would see any where... More

Old Vallarta is near the water and there are many tourists along the main streets. However, the side streets are very quiet. We walked through the markets and each stall has basically the same as the next. The people working there were pleasant and so happy to have you stop to look. Most of the workers seemed bored - and... More

Lots of shops and eating places. Nice to walk around the streets, talk to the shop owners and see the people. This is real Mexico with small shops.

Don't leave Puerto Vallarta without taking a stroll through Old Vallarta to admire the galleries, restaurants, shops and cafes along the cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture. This was the highlight of my week in Vallarta.
