The Golden Zone is perfectly situated with many fine hotels and restaurants that you can walk to. Big Walmart style store where you should buy the booze that you want to bring back home as its cheaper than at the airport duty free.

We didn't do much but walk along the playa, shopped a bit, and ate/drank at a few places. My family enjoyed the atmosphere, riding in the red trucks for transportation (and the golf carts) and generally felt safe (a concern before we arrived). Not sure...More

We stayed at Luna Palace in the middle of all the beach action. Many activities and restaurants to choose from. Everyone was friendly and helpful everywhere we went.

If you get an opportunity walk the new Malecon. Completely redone and updated again to make walking this beautiful stretch of boardwalk even easier. If you want walk the coast line instead of up on the Malecon, either way you are going to love the...More

While in the golden zone stay away for presentation & promotional tours. I know this seems obvious; however, promises of money & free activities are appealing. Unfortunately, at the end of presentation promises are rarely met. Don't be lured! Stay on the beach, palapa bars,...More

OXXO is a typical 711 type store, they have everything you might need, and also some of the larger farmacia's. Just take a pulmonia to the grocery store...or Walmart. It's very safe.
