Doesn't open until 4 pm but there are shops nearby so you can make an afternoon if it and stop in at the right time. It's a beautiful cathedral and a still currently working church so be cognizant if that and respectful when visiting. It...More

In Mexico if you do some travelling around the country, you will have the opportunity to see a large number of Cathedrals. Old, older, restored, needing restoration, etc. Should you visit Mazatlán, please insure a visit to their cathedral , simply beautiful.

This is an amazing church you have to see inside the mason work is beautiful. Stained glass and the statues remind me of some places I've seen in Europe.

Interesting history to the architecture. One of the few good things about our tour was the knowledge of our guide about the history here. Please remember when you are there that this is still a place of worship and try not to disturb people practicing...More

Any trip to Mazatlan would not be complete without stopping here. Very centrally located across from the mercado and maybe 2 blocks from Plaza Machado. What a magnificent and beautiful church. High arch architecture and stained glass truly represents the days of old. A sense...More

We went to light a candle, a very peaceful place, old world. Have been to many Catherdrals in Spain, and this one is very close to those churches. Love the architecture of this church. There are people selling rosary’s and crosses just outside the church....More

It seems no matter what time of day we have stopped in here, the stained glass Star of David reflect on all different parts of the church. The architecture and gold in the church is worth seeing, even if you aren't religious

Beautiful cathedral near Plaza Machado. Matzalan has several churches in a small area. This being the most opulent, and now the most utilized. Painted bright yellow so you can't miss it. There are several statues of Christ and Saints dotted on the campus and facade...More

If your in Centro this is well worth a visit. It’s a beautiful Catholic Church. Beautiful interior and design. Very ornate as many Catholic Churches are on the inside.

I am sure they do not do tours on Sundays since the cathedral is still in use daily. I would contact the cathedral directly to ask.

Taxi to the church will cost less than $20 US. No tickets needed. Unfortunately, I do not recall the mass schedule, but I suspect the desk personnel at your hotel will be able to advise you.

I don't know what time mass is, but a pulmonia is the most convenient way to get there. All the drivers know the cathedral.
