Doesn't open until 4 pm but there are shops nearby so you can make an afternoon if it and stop in at the right time. It's a beautiful cathedral and a still currently working church so be cognizant if that and respectful when visiting. It...More
In Mexico if you do some travelling around the country, you will have the opportunity to see a large number of Cathedrals. Old, older, restored, needing restoration, etc. Should you visit Mazatlán, please insure a visit to their cathedral , simply beautiful.
Interesting history to the architecture. One of the few good things about our tour was the knowledge of our guide about the history here.

We went to light a candle, a very peaceful place, old world. Have been to many Catherdrals in Spain, and this one is very close to those churches. Love the architecture of this church. There are people selling rosary’s and crosses just outside the church....More
It seems no matter what time of day we have stopped in here, the stained glass Star of David reflect on all different parts of the church. The architecture and gold in the church is worth seeing, even if you aren't religious
