This was one of our stops on a 4 hour tour from the cruise port. I'm sure many people go there on their own but I'm glad we took a tour as we would have missed hearing about the amazing history otherwise. The multitude and beauty of the architectural designs is obvious but hearing about it's varied past was a... More

Beautiful older style cathedral. Attended a Sunday (Spanish language) mass during a recent visit to Mazatlan. We stopped by the day before to take in the paintings and statues.

This was one of our stops on our tour. One of their famous cathedrals. Chandeliers and stained glass really nice. Even got to see a Catholic wedding.

This cathedral is amazing, take the time to walk through and look at the detail. The historic district is close by with fantastic restaurants And the market is just 3 blocks away.

We almost didn't walk inside as we are not huge on architecture. But we are certainly glad we did! Inside the cathedral it is very beautiful. Simply breathtaking.

This church is gorgeous in and out. It was built in 1875 and completed 24 years later. It was named as Cathedral in 1958, an extraordinary honor. Chandeliers at the ceiling were said to be ones of the largest in Mexico.
