The Spiritual splendor of this cathedral is so abundant! The ornate architecture and beautiful Holy displays are a must see. The impressive statue of Juan Diego is a wonderful photo opportunity.

An active temple for Catholic visitors. Worth a visit if you are into such things. We happened to arrive just in time for Mass...

We took a Segway trip through Mazatlan and stopped at the cathedral. No time to go inside but the outside is great.

And go early. This is one of the most ornate cathedrals we have visited. There is so much detail to absorb and being there just before Christmas was extra special.

Very interesting, beautiful cathedral. It is in the middle of Mazatlan. Notice the Star David windows in recognition of The help by the Jewish Community to build a church.

The interior is divinely inspired and routinely has masses. The outside has lots space and in close to local vendors with both food and religious items. Lots of locals surround the church and adjoining square.

Across from Mercado in pretty square, pop your head in for a look, it's free. They have been working on restoring this and it is beautiful.

I am sure they do not do tours on Sundays since the cathedral is still in use daily. I would contact the cathedral directly to ask.

Taxi to the church will cost less than $20 US. No tickets needed. Unfortunately, I do not recall the mass schedule, but I suspect the desk personnel at your hotel will be able to advise you.

I don't know what time mass is, but a pulmonia is the most convenient way to get there. All the drivers know the cathedral.
