Interesting area to walk around. Lots of nice cafes, shops & restaurants. Beach is beautiful. We always make at least one trip there during our visits to Mazatlan.

Spend the day strolling and people watching. Have a cold beer and a delicious meal at one of the local restaurants. Fun!

Love the area, so close to town if you're staying in old mazatlan. Easy to get to, restaurants directly across from waterfront and looney bean coffee shop with treats. Can be bit rough waters, but great for suntanning with view and amenities near you.

Olas Altas! Full history and wonderful view. I had been here many times. It is the best location to enjoy Mazatlan's incomparable sunsets. On the weekends this area is full of attractions and local vendors. Two blocks downs you will find The German old town...More

We were staying in a house overlooking Playa Olas Altas and I loved being able to stroll along the beach and watch the waves rolling in. It's a steeper sloped beach than some others in the area, and the lifeguard told us it was unsafe...More

This is a great beach along the Malecon in Mazatlan. Great vendors selling all sorts of things: food, candy, fruit, sunglasses, pocket books, bags, art, jewelry, masks, shoes, clothes and more. Water is nice. Flat beach. Very pretty.

The Hotel Olas Alta is NOT on Olas Altas bay. It is sort of half way between the actual Olas Altas Bay area (The old town area of Mazatlan) and the Gold Zone. It is right on the main beach road and there are buses right in... More
