This place is run by one man who has rescued 100s of iguanas. He has also started rescuing others, .ie.: Raccoons, Wild Boar, Coati, canaries, parrots, raptors, and two guinea pigs. He supports this place on his own money and cash and food donations; no public/government assistance. There are hundreds of iguanas, on the ground, in the trees, and everywhere... More

The place is rustic and has a few other creatures to see. Its free to go except for the bathrooms which i think were 5 pesos. I cant tell you what they were like as I never had to use them. The sanctuary does accept donations which is well worth paying as it does keep it open to the public.... More

This attraction has been described as a "zoo" and as an Iguana sanctuary. At any rate, if you want to see an Iguana, you will get your fill, This place is has got Iguana's of all sizes roaming freely but mostly confined to a caged area. there are a few other animals and according to people who have been there... Pretty cool place. Some raccoons, javelina's, birds and tons of iguanas. The owners just fed the iguanas lettuce so they were eating and climbing down the trees. We walked outside the area and the iguanas were sun bathing and started quarreling with each other high up in the trees and we just wanted them to fall in the water so... More

Very interesting visit to the iguanarium. I had already seen a couple of iguanas out and about, but it was really nice to see so many of them. They have pretty good camouflage but once you spotted one you noticed there were four more right next to it. They were all over the trees, just laying around. There were also... More

This place is crazy. The trees are full of iguanas there everywhere. You could spends hours trying to count them. Go back across the bridge and if your lucky you'll be able to feed them. They also have more animals available to see in cages. We go every year

I was taking a photo of an iguana sleeping in the tree, and it fell about eight feet to ground. It just shook itself and waddled back and climbed another. Wish I had shot a video! That is after I stopped laughing. The Iguanas can be seen up in the trees from the street, but you can make a small... More

A fellow started out with a couple of iguanas for rehabilitation and now has over 300! They are usually seen up in the trees until it's feeding time and then they come down in a hurry. They are huge and colorful and make great photo ops! He also has some birds in cages, raccoons and other animals.

This is an amazing place. The iguanas are huge and free. Climbing trees and making noise. Very nice! And you choose how much to pay😄
