The Costera is a vibrant avenue filled with restaurants, hotels night clubs. It is a great walk both night and day. Totally safe and alive. Be careful walking because there are many holes in the sidewalk and the street. I almost walked into an uncovered manhole that was being worked on but NO safety fence around it or anything! It... We were here in April 2016 and now it is March 2017 and we are back in beautiful Acapulco. We can't believe how much has changed on the famous Costera! Starting at the Naval base near Walmart where you enter the Costera , the City has done a major overhaul of the Costera! They have added many new trees, shrubs,... More

We told our taxi driver that we wanted to do some shopping and have lunch. We ended up being taken to a mall across from the Ritz. We took in the sights, the kids played in an arcade, then we wanted to have lunch. We tried eating at the restaurant in the Ritz, only to learn that it was all... More

the waves are rough, though small, and the sand is coarse. I would recommend going much, much farther away for less crowded, nicer beaches by the airport or in diamante.

There is so much to do! If you can, take an afternoon/night and just walk down La Costera. There are so many restaurants, shopping, and things to do. An amazing experience.

Mexicans are the most friendly people I have met. Food is excellent and yes you have to be able to say NO to many vendors but it is still my no, 1 destination and I have travelled all over the world.

If you have run out of something to do or just want to take a drive this is as good as any. Why take a tour when you can hire a cab for 70 pesos to take you to "old town" walk about and then return. It's cheap-take time to tour the marina.
