Lovely time here visiting an old friend. Quiet peaceful. The surf. And paddle boards are really inexpensive to rent from Oliver. A little water logged but ok. Food in town and on the beach was amazing. Trailer parks for motor homes or trailers are all...More
Some of Mexico's beach towns unfortunately are overrun with tourism and lo De Marcos is not like that at all. There are some tourists but there are a lot more people that actually live there. Plenty of restaurants available, beautiful Square in the middle of...More
Our extended family stayed for a week in Lo de Marcos and really enjoyed the small town atmosphere and clean beach. While dining at a palapa on the beach one day, we were approached by Manuel who offered to take us on a boat tour...More

While staying in Bucerias, we took the bus one day to look at Sayulita and Lo de Marco. We liked Lo de Marco because it is smaller, less hustle-bustle, fewer beach vendors and generally quieter. The town looks adequately equipped with restaurants, markets, butcher, seafood,...More

You can easily get a cab at the airport, in fact you can't get out without people asking if you need one!. They will charge you about 1600 pesos to lo de marcos(they asked 1500 to sayulita). If you get out of the airport and go across the bridge you can catch a cab on your own for about half. It helps to know a little spanish.
Bring pesos. Some services online offer roundtrip for 130USD, so you have options.
