We took a weekend trip to Monterrey and had discovered this place before traveling. Rented a car from the airport and headed there right after landing. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. This view from atop the mountain is beautiful and the cable...More
We arrived at 9:30 am. There was hardly anyone there. It was the perfect time to arrive. We were the first group to go upon the cable car. Once we arrived to the top we were able to enjoy the beautiful view. Then we went...More
The caves are interesting but getting there is not easy , it’s far , there is so much traffic to get out of the city in that area . The teleférico does not always work , and honestly It’s too much hassle to make the...More
The Grutas de Garcia are something visitors to the Monterrey area should make an effort to get out and visit. Not only does the teleferico offer visitors stunning mountain vistas, but as soon as you enter the caves themselves, you're in for an unbelievable treat....More
Cable cart up the top, beautiful views.
Caves; Caves are very interesting. Rock formations that are 'shaped' like things. An area with coloured changing lights. A rock formation with lights around it, to resemble a christmas tree....Interesting. Steps can be dangerous when wet. Live music...More
The grutas are not the biggest you'll ever see but they are still impressive. The tour guides give something really good information. Sometimes the lighting feels cheap and ruins the naturalness of the tour but overall it's a nice surprise close to the city. The...More

It is physically challenging and of course people with disadvantages cannot fully enjoy the guided tour since there are a lot of stairs inside the cave. However, they can still ride the aerial tramway to reach the entrance to the cave and enjoy the view.
In addittion, they can get inside the very entrance of the cavern and there is like a big open area where you can still admire the formation of the rocks and enjoy the breeze coming from the air ballroom.
I went with my mom, dad, and two aunts. Only one of my aunts decided to ride the aerial tramway with us. However, she decided not to take the guided tour because she felt she was not going to make the 2 km route. So even people who are not at disadvantage find this tour challenging.
That being said, I still recommend going up there and take some nice pictures of yourself and family. The view is gorgeous. Enjoy...!
