Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great selection and prices at a superb location; right on the Malecon where you can also have an amazing meal and get to take a walk to enjoy the beautiful sculptures of sea creatures. I always look for something crafted in wood and this place delivered big time! It has of course a tone of other locally made goods as well, definitely the spot to visit if you are looking for something special from La Paz.

The parking maybe limited so you most likely will have to park somewhere next door but as I mentioned above I bet you will end up taking a walk either way :)

TIP: credit cards accepted!

Saw this was included on shore excursion from ship, but figured correctly we could walk to it from where the free shuttle buses from the ship dropped us off. Glad I didn't waste $ on the excursion, as you can see nothing is manufactured here, and while its a quaint shop, nothing shouts out how wonderful it is and must be bought. Found better selection and pricing on the dockside area next to the ship.

It is full of local crafts and very convenient to get to as it is right on the Malecon. The prices are fair and many ingenious items to look at.

I didn t know that La Paz was one of the most important place for pearl in the world .
As i am obsessed with jewelry i visited the place ( that is is just a small artesan handcraft spot ) and there is a very very small corner with some piece of pearl and silver and pearl jewelry that are certified by. PERLAS de BAHIA de LA PAZ
This is the only place where you can buy in Baja California !
I bought a breautiful cultived pearl

My mom and I wandered in the store for an hour! It isn't that big but I loved seeing all the arts and crafts from all over Mexico. I bought some postcards that were really nice.

Checking out the local landmarks, this one wasn't a huge highlight. Nothing I'd buy for myself, maybe worth it if you have to local-looking (cheap-ish, likely factory made) souvenirs for friends

I got all my La Paz souvenirs from here. Though there is a lot of the usual stuff that you get everywhere there was enough here that was different and made well. The prices are for sure much better than other places. I got a pair of handmade earrings for about 300 pesos here and the exact same (same artist and same label) earrings were about 800 pesos in a store in Todos Santos.
I am glad I discovered this place - it's a good place if you have the eye to look thru all the random factory made stuff.

I was disappointed in the variety and quality of the items sold here. It seemed to me to be more tourist souvenirs than higher quality art. But maybe it is just my weird taste in shopping.

Average handicrafts store .... a lot of prefab factory made stuff making the name of the place a bit misleading.

As you would expect almost everything to be made by local artisans, which is clearly not the case.

I bought all my gifts to take home at this shop. I had been here years before when I took a week long Spanish immersion class in La Paz and I was glad to see it was still here. There is a lot of "stuff" and it is worth walking around two or three times to let your "eye" adjust (I sent my male partner outside to enjoy the park so I could shop at my leisure). There are interesting reproductions of rock paintings on everything from stone to magnets, handmade mango lime soap slices, interesting (and inexpensive) stone bracelets, damiana herbal tonics and teas and much more. The prices are reasonable and the people were friendly but not pushy.
