The farmers market is on Tuesdays and Saturdays and you will find an astonishing selection of fruit, veggies and hand crafts at the market. Highlights are the cheeses, hand made Uruguayan sausages (the stall on the corner across from the markets where they are BBQing them), the flash dried herbs, honey, dates and the list goes on. Don't miss it!

For our New Year's Eve dinner we went to the Farmers Market and picked up home made schnitzel, home made pasta, snow peas, and the longest green onions you could imagine. Everything was excellent. We also purchased a few embroidered pillow covers to brighten up our living room and we couldn't be more pleased with the result.

An example of a movement that is occurring here in our home country of Canada, where local farmers, and artisans can bring products from their small farms, or shops directly to the public. Good value to the customer, and important support for small operations.

It's not too big, but there are enough (local) people who sell their stuff. Atmosphere is good. We bought fresh pesto which didn't make it to the next day because it was just so good :-) It's in an area with enough nice bars and restaurants so you'll enjoy it.

In a town where lettuce and fresh spices are hard to find, try this farmer's market. Best lettuce in town, varieties packaged for you and baby spinach, fresh rosemary, sage, yummilicious bread, german sausages, goat cheese, italian sausages (and paninis cooked while you wait!), pesto, shrimp by the kilo. Every Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Go! You'll be glad you did... More

People is really friendly over there, I go every Saturday for my free range eggs and i love the green beans. I wish it was a bit bigger and they cut the traffic in the street so is more spacious, it gets a bit crowded in the little walkways

This outdoor market features produce, plants, baked goods, bath and body products, plants, and more! Open twice a week in front of Doce Cuarenta coffee shop (Tuesday and Saturday 8 AM - noon). We always find something good to bring home, and find everything to be extremely reasonable in price.

Great combo of fresh produce (lots of herbs and greens) very reasonably priced, jewelry, organic items make this small but varied market worth a visit. Reasonable prices, good food. The pretzels were worth the is it by themselves!! Very tourist friendly. Also fun shops in the neighborhood.

Fresh food, produce, art and jewelry at this small farmers market. We tried amazing chorizo and purchased original art and jewelry. The prices were great! It was a little hard to find.

For the 2013-2014 season, the market has moved one block closer to the Malecon waterfront. More than 20 local growers and artists line the sidewalk along Madero Street between Cinco de Mayo and Constitucion to bring just picked fruits, vegetables, lettuces, and herbs, straight from the oven artisan breads, pastries, cakes pies and quiches, cheeses, eggs, yogurts dressings, marmelades, regional...
