The wife and I spent three days on Baja's whale watching skiffs and had the experience of our life. The boat captains and naturalists taught us about the gray whale behavior as well as the history of San Ignacio lagoon. We were, at times, surrounded by 5 to 8 whales, watching them breathe or otherwise splash around. The whale calves... More

We had a two day trip as a part of a wildlife watching tour which included an overnight stay on Espiritu Santo Island. The journey out was interesting but not for the fainthearted - it is about 40km and takes around two hours in an open boat over the bay in mildly choppy water. You will get wet - there... More

Our 3rd trip to baja expeditions whale watching in san ignacio lagoon. A trip that should be on everyones bucket list. Once again it met every expectation. I generally wont do any kind of camping...but they make doable! Food awesome! Trips out to whales even more awesome!

Just returned from a 5 day trip at their camp in the San Ignacio Lagoon. The camp was comfortable with amazing views from our tents of Whale after Whale just yards offshore. The food was great and our tent camp staff was very attentive. Our Guides were amazing. To call this Whale viewing would be a huge disservice. This was... More

A fantastic course in grey whales. Knowing nothing about whales I found these three days in the lagoon magical. A staff of great knowledge and experience guided us into a world I did not know. Jose is a maestro of the grey and through trips onto the lagoon and books I got my course. The wow factor is extreme. I... More

Baja Expeditions was recommended to us by the property manager of our rental in LaPaz. From my first email contact many months before arrival, Salma was helpful and accommodating. My husband and I were traveling with another couple and all of us had different levels of water experience. We visiting with Salma upon arrival and she tailored a day trip... More

Visitors can choose to take a panga (local boat) to Isla Espirito Santos to swim with sea lions or a shorter trip to swim with whale sharks. We chose the combination of both in one day. Our guide, Debora, met us in the morning and had us fitted out with wet suits and snorkeling gear in short order. She also... More

After reading the reviews we've picked Baja Expeditions the day before the trip. We have booked a day at Espiritu Santo island plus 2 hours extension of the whale sharks snorkelling experience. When we were paying we've asked about the size of the group and were told it will be 4 of us. As we arrived at the office it... More

Went whale sharks watching yesterday. Despite windy seas it was a remarkable day. The whale sharks were like beings from another planet. But the highlight of the trip was our Swiss guide Debora Röösli. She was at once enthusiastic, knowledgeable, mindful, and extraordinarily compassionate with the guests someone of whom got a bit scared. She has a beautiful blend of... More
