We were on a bus tour that dropped us off at the Cathedral and Plaza de la Constitucion for 15 minutes (then dumped us in a jewellery store for an hour).Impressive 19th Century mission church. Was able to take a quick look around. I liked the tower clock because it kept alive my streak-of all the tower clocks I've seen... More

The Cathedral was a stop on our walking tour with Red Travel. Our guide Hugo told the story of its architecture and construction. Worth a stop even without the tour

The history here is amazing. Your guide will explain which parts of the cathedral had to be rebuilt due to hurricanes. Its not St Peters Basillica in Vatican City but amazing none the less.

Rather enjoyed the simplicity of this cathedral as it contrasts favourably, in my opinion, with the conspicuous opulence of many. In an attractive setting, near markets, shopping, coffee shops, street vendors.

Just a few blocks off of the Malecon sits the historic Catedral de Nuestra Señora de La Paz. Old structure, was built from 1861-1865. Very nice inside. Catholic church is a quiet place out get out of the heat. Right next to Jardín Velasco, a nice one block park.

Dont waste a lot of time here, a quick stop is all you will need. The architecture and old world charm make it a nice visit.

Jesuit Father Jamie Bravo founded the permanent Mission of La Paz in 1861, This old mission church (Cathedral) has been well maintained and is worth a visit when in La Paz. Catholic mass, in Spanish, is available several times each Sunday. I have attended Mass several times at the Cathedral, the most recent was this past Sunday. It is certainly... More

We were privileged to attend a friend's wedding in this beautiful cathedral and would recommend a visit if you are walking through the city.

The Cathedral is constructed of stone of a pale purple - mauve - which gives the building an unusual pleasant appearance. The church is less ornate than some others in Mexico, but still possesses architectural elements common to many cathedrals. The stained glass windows are quite attractive. The stone plaques outside the front door briefly describe the history of the... More
