Pra Nang Cave Beach would be lovely if it weren’t for the crowds. It’s hard to get a decent photo there without heaps of people in the background. We were there late in the afternoon for sunset and it was still crowded but apparently during the day it’s even busier. The cave and the story behind it was OK. Sunset from here is pretty and then just a 5 minute boat ride off the shore we did snorkelling with bioluminescent plankton which was awesome

I went to this beach with the four island tour and just had around half an hour to look around. Whatever little time I had, it was very refreshing to see all those people enjoying in the swimming area. The place had some veyr interesting features to experience.
The cave itself is interesting that houses a temple and an interesting resident, a Comodo Dragon. If was fun to watch it climbing the rocks of the temple.
I will surely recommend this place but a dedicated visit, half an hour is too short for this place, to explore the beauty and cuisine available in resturants near by.

The pictures on this site can be deceiving in that most wait for people to get out of the way before they snap their own idyllic scenery picture. If you like people watching and crowds, go at midday and in the afternoon. Late afternoons and sunset are busy like a shopping mall. If you like quiet and peaceful, stick with early to mid morning. Getting Thai food from the parked long tail boats completes the experience. Thai pancake with banana and Nutella never fails.

we went here twice. the first time we went during an organised trip, so we had a tasty dinner whilst watching the sunset. we only stayed here about an hour, which was plenty of time.
the second time, we spent more time here and walked up to the fertility caves where people take offerings. we also did a bit of snorkelling. there are boats that moor up that sell snacks and drinks.
very beautiful.

This beach has to be one of the most beautiful one in Thailand! We were there 3 years ago and the place was so packed with tail boats and people that it was not enjoyable. This time during the pandemic we had virtually the entire beach to ourselves! We were simply in awe. We also climbed to the Railay viewpoint and the view was stunning. Not to be missed when in Krabi.

Definitely a must see if you stay in Ao Nang. The beach was great, the views were amazing and it is a 200 Baht ride with a longtail boat from Ao Nang. We didn't have to pay a national fee and there were many longtail boat rides from Ao Nang. It had many options to eat and drink because there were many 'boat restaurants" which provided Thai food, burgers, sandwhiches, fruit shakes, beer, ice cream etc at a very good price.

100 baht and a short trip on a longtail boat from Ao Nang can take you to Railey and Phra Nang. I oreferred Phra Nang but at the same time it was a nice comfortable walk from Riley to Phra Nang Beach. You can practice Rock climbing and look at the beatiful rick islands, have a swim in beautiful clored water and see two caves full of genitalua 😆 This beach is oerfect for a day on the beach. It looks exactly like we expect a Thai paradise beach to look like

Best landscape I have seen during my trip in Thailand. You have all the natural beauty you can think of. Tropical vegetation, caves with amazing colors, rock islands in the horizon and beautiful sand and water colors. If you walk from Railay beach you will experience a lot of interesting views as friendly monkeys, caves, lizards, etc.

The beach is empty in the morning until around 10 am. Use this time to your advantage and relax in a quiet, tranquil environment.
At sunset the beach tends to be less crowded than Railay with equal (if not better) views. Be sure to look at the rock faces and how they change color as the sun sets.

We took the long tail boat from Ao Nang pier. 200 baht for a 2-way ticket.
First stop at Railay West beach & 2nd stop at PhraNang cave. We alighted at the 2nd stop & spent an hour or so at the shore near the cave. Crowded everywhere with rock climbers, tourists lying on the beach & many swimming in the clear waters.
It would be lovely to just lie on the sand & soak in the views without the crowds.
As it was, we had a difficult time finding space to put out our picnic mats.

Hi my krabi flight via kualalampur from kolkata where do i get thai visa on arival?
Written 9 April 2019
Depending on what airline you fly they might have the paper to fill in on the final flight. Kuala Lumpur - Krabi. That can speed up the time spent in immigration if you pre-fill them. Many times when you fly in to thailand from abroad they do have them onboard, Thai air and others.. otherwise its airport..
Have a nice trip!

Hello, where are the cliffs to jump from? Are there a variety of heights? Really only looks for a few meters high. Cheers!
Written 20 November 2018
There were climbers that were scaling specific cliffs over the water out from Railey beaches, they were getting to them by boat.

Is the long tail boat ride children friendly? We are a group travelling with kids aged 6months old upto 9 years old.
Written 18 November 2018
Hey Shahira, when I went on this trip there were lots of kids from ages 2-15ish! The boat ride can be a bit bumpy and also it can be a bit tricky going in and out of the boat. Other than that I think its fine for your kids to go on the trip :)

How early can I get a ride to phranang bay or Hong island? I want to get back to my hotel by 12:30
Written 27 October 2018
you can arrange for the tour boat to depart at 7.30am or 8am.
You might need to pay for the whole boat if there are no other passengers and you are in a hurry.
