We spent all afternoon here. Experienced traditional dances of the Huron-Wendake, learned about their history, listened to storytelling- myths and legends of the tribe, and had a guided tour. You can eat here and there is a gift shop. Buy a handmade souvenir made by...More

Our family visited the Huron Village in Wendake during our recent family retreat.
We thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour. Our tour guide, Brian, was a delight and really brought the site to life. As well, there was time for questions (which he answered with great...More
Great visit. Very informative. Helene our Guide was very knowledgable and interesting. Enjoy the dance session. Explications were given on the significance of the dance. Some members of the group were invited to take part in the smoking of the Peace Pipe.
The village is an excellent resource, with many knowledgeable people. The food at the restsurant was surprisingly good. The tour was very good, with lots of interesting facts. If you go, be sure to see the dance, and participate. It's fun! The story of how...More

I didn't book ahead of time. I tried emailing using the email address on the website, but didn't get a response. I would definitely recommend booking ahead of time if possible if you need a English speaking tour guide- we were very lucky and managed to catch one (who was absolutely wonderful!) right before he left for the day. I would recommend calling on the phone if you don't get an email response. Also, the restaurant is only open for limited hours during the winter, FYI. We really loved our tour here!
