Had a very enjoyable two hours walk around these woods, mostly beech trees with a few oak. Its best to start in the main carpark, cost £3 for a car per day. From there is a small cafe serving drinks and ice cream. See also...More

Great place to walk and take s dog to two! Beautiful area which can be very muddy after it during rain. Lots of history here as settlement dating back to 1250 was here. The movie Robin Hood filmed here as well.

Yes, as far as I remember there are small streams joining up the ponds. Is this what you mean? :-)
