Accessed by a narrow suspension bridge, this large nature park with lots of Bamboo thickets around & statues of original natives, the Kodavu tribals, damcing etc & also artwork showing their lifestyle. Walk till the end of the park & you reach the Deer Park. Then turn right to reach the River entry gate & that's where the best part of this park is. Enjoy the serene pristine riverside nature & you will never forget this place in lifetime. Can be clubbed with other Kushal Nagar area attractions like Dubare Camp + Bylakuppe Monastry+ Chicklihole Reservior.

Green, Boating, A Hanging Bridge, Tree Top places for stunning views, A River, Feeding the deer its got it all.
Go on Weekdays its quiet, calm, places to relax and you can feel mother nature
On weekends bus loads of school and college kids spoil the mood and the place very very noisy.

Just outside Nisargadhama there is a market sort of place for quick bites and quick drinks.

This park is meant more for kids & youngsters. There are a quite a few activities that youngsters & kids will enjoy. There were no elephant rides or boat rides which were both shut due to covid. so beyond that, apart from the walk around which took all of 20 mins, wasnt worth the effort making the trip there, for us adults.
The deer park did have a few deers, the "exotic" bird part was rather unsatisfactory.
What disturbed us was there were 2 beautiful toucans-like birds (not sure of the name of the bird), one of which one could take photographs with. It was v obvious that that bird tended to be in distress when anyone got into the cage to click the photo. the bird defi needs better looking after and also this removing photos INSIDe the cage, MUST BE STOPPED!!!!

A nice small bird sanctuary inside the Kaveri Forest Nisargdhama Campus. Be prepared to pay the entry fees twice - one to enter the Nisargdhama forest park and the next to enter the bird sanctuary. Some quite a good different species of birds can be seen inside. The feed to the bird is advertised to be included in the entry fees to the sanctuary - but you have to pay again inside, if you want to be photographed with birds eating their feed from your palms. Yes, indeed that gives a unique experience with a flurry of birds sitting all over you including your head and trying the eat from their feed in your palms.

Contains a pair of OStrich also - huge almost ten-eleven foot height - and move around a barricaded zone inside the sanctuary. Indeed a unique experience. So this bird sanctuary is not as vast as the one in Darjeeling, indeed, but the contains a good number of different species of birds and hence a must visit experience.

Totally unexpected kind of attraction in that area. It’s just 100 meter away from the highway in Kushalnagar. Car parking is a real real real mess, better park at the edge of highway carefully. You need to buy ticket for parking as well as entry to the island, small amount. The entry is through a short hanging bridge over a beautiful river. The island is a packed forest. Fairly clean. There is a boating, small deer park, adventure sport (swinging in like a tarsen), sculptures, etc. The river access provided is amazing, if you are ready to get wet, you can enjoy a beautiful river bath. For overnight stay cottages also I could see, seems need booking much in advance. There is almost no breeze in the island, seems due to that thick forest. You can spend an hour or so there not much if no bath. Overall a must see place if you visit Kushalnagar or you are passing by this on highway NH275.

Amazing experience in the lap of the jungle and river backwaters on the ohterside. Food is average. Singer Mohit wins everyone's hearts with his magical voice. Bonfire and the entire ambience is too good for families, couples in fact everyone needing some quality time from their busy lives. It's a must visit for everyone.

We booked hotel in kushalnagar so this was very near to us. If you book in Madekeri you have to come quiet a distance to see this place. Parking provided. Hanging bridge at the entrance. very vast park. There is deer park and also water flowing where people can play in water and have fun. some ziplining activity was also there which we did not try.Outside market is there for shopping.

The park is huge and well made but not very well maintained. There are many attractions in the park area such as enjoying a boat ride into the river, a deer park, a bird park (where you can click pictures with a macau). However a bit crowded.

I didnt find anything much exciting at nisargadhama. To enter the park you need to cross a long hanging bridge on foot. Then, you need to walk a little to reach the deer park. There were approx 15-20 deers in the park. Most of them looked underfed. Then there are places where you can walk to banks of cauvery from a distance and height. Water flow is very high so be careful. This place can dropped from your itinerary if you are running short on time.
