Well worth a visit. Long wark down to the light house. 94 steps to top taken to 3 stages. Check for opening times.

Really interesting lighthouse with a good guided tour right to the top of the lighthouse. Inexpensive but requires a good walk to get there, great on a nice day. No facilities available.

Had a great time walking there, visiting lighthouse and listening our guide Bones. Very relaxing experience without crowds with beautiful views on a sunny day. Don’t expect fireworks, this is a light house!

Well worth the walk, even though it was closed as we visited out of season. A very pretty lighthouse with great views out to sea.

We went with our 4 and 6 yrs olds. There are quite a few steps to climb (which they didn’t mind) and they enjoyed the tour. Have fun!

There are no records that list the personnel serving at each station, but you might want to try researching the Trinity House records held at the London Metropolitan Archives for mentions of specific personnel

The lighthouse is formally closed until 24 March, when it opens for the complete summer until the end of October. Please search for the website, and this gives more details.
