A natural wonder! Leonard was great and make our tour interesting. He goes beyond by taking us up the hill after the cave to show us a magnificent view on the side of the island.

My family of three generations enjoyed Mr. Cartwright's approximately one hour tour of the caves. He was interesting and informative, and patient with our young children. We saw lots of bats and heard about his history in the caves, going back to playing hide and seek there in his childhood. On a trip that included lots of beach and boat... More

Toured Hamilton's Cave with Leonard Cartwright, it took about an hour and was well worth the $10 each. Leonard is very knowledgeable on local history and Cave ecology. The Cave is impressive, it's a no-frills tour but he does a great job, very informative and entertaining. Good to see no trash and very little vandalism occurring, they are doing a... More

Fun for kids and adults. The paths were pretty level for easy walking. Only had to squat low through one opening. Other rooms and passages had surprising high headroom. Guide Leonard Cartwright was attentive and paced himself to our group. Saw a variety of perching and stretching bats up close. About 50 minutes never a dull moment. Surprise that it... More

This is simply so Bahamian and so fun. Mr Cartwright took us up to his home after the tour. It has the best view in the Bahamas with no exaggeration. The Cave was historic and fascinating.

The caves are located in the settlement town of Hamilton's, Long Island. Hence, the cave is located on "private property", therefore having a guided tour, provided by property owner, Leonard Cartwright, is on the list of What to Do on Long Island. Take a step back in time and see where the indians lived and explore the many rock formations... More

Mr. Cartwright did a wonderful job leading our family through the cave and giving us history and interesting tidbits about Long Island. It is easy for young or old to do and is a nice break from surf and sand if you need it.

Anywhere else in the world these caves would be considered a natural treasure. What makes them most interesting is that they are completely unchanged from the times the Lucayans used them hundreds of years ago. If these caves were anywhere in North America, you would pay for parking, for admission and there would be a kiosk selling T-Shirts at the... More

Very interesting tour by local, Mr. Cartwright who grew up on Long Island and has great stories to tell. The largest cave I have ever seen, glad he was leading us it is quite a maze you could get lost in!
