The beach is one of the nicest I have ever been to in the world. Better than Mexico, better than the USVI, and BVI's, you name it. The sand is not only pink but its fine as silk and beautifully manicured and taken care of.

Coral Sands Hotel - Harbour Island
I decided on this hotel being on the famous pink sand beach… it was amazing.. we had a garden view room decorated tastefully with Molton Brown toiletries, it is directly on the beach so 10/20 for location. We were only on the island for 2 nights but should of hired a golf buggy it what everyone uses & check to book… hotel can sort this for you.
Apart from the beach we visited Valentines one night while the Super Bowl final was on & amazing atmosphere.. the islands know as the friendly place and it totally is.. started talking to a couple who live there who took us to Samnys Bar
We also went to dinner at Acquapazza Wine Bar & Ristorante the food was amazing,
And lunch at our hotel equally fantastic

Beautiful, huge beach on Eleuthera, Harbour Island. Everyone here moves around in golf carts, which is worth a trip in itself. Then Pink Sands Beach! It rarely appears in the rankings of the best beaches in the world. I am always surprised that beaches in the Philippines, Bali and even Mallorca, all of which I know, are in the top 20. This one is clearly in the top 3 of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In any case, I believe that the most beautiful beaches in the world can be found on the 16 large islands of the Bahamas.

Start to finish, this was a vacation we'll never forget. Our garden cottage was comfortable, spacious and beautiful. The resort has two wonderful restaurants, with breakfast right on the beach-- gorgeous views, great menu and friendly and helpful staff. Everyone on staff was gracious and welcoming - most memorable were Ninja, Peter and Vanessa. Everyone, including Mr. Kym Nielsen, the General Manager did everything they could to ensure our stay was wonderful. Many, many thanks to all. We'lll be back. Absolutely.

Very clean, very fine sand with a beautiful pink touch. Shallow water perfect for all kind of beach fun.
Restaurants and little shacks providing all necessities.
Not crowded when we visited, even though peak season.

I give capitan Diego and first mate Lisa a 10! They are the best, they made this experience amazing! The know the history of the island and love their heritage. I learn so much about the Bahamas and enjoyed every minute of our excursion from our lunch at Valentines to swimming with the pigs the turtles and the pink sand beach.

This is a very nice wide beach with lovely water. I was a bit disappointed about the colour. Of course these Instagram pictures are not real but I expected a bit more pinkness. We were there off season so I don’t know how lively it is there and what’s on offer in high season. But is definitely a nice beach.

We stayed in a house broken up into little apartments (they call them villas but really its just little apartments.) We stayed at Little Arches. Little Arches was not bad. Not great but not bad. Poor to fair furniture, NO INTERNET as she claims, (it just doesn't work so plan accordingly). It's an average fair apt, no thrills, not fancy but clean and its main attraction is it is literally a 2 min walk to a gorgeous beach. It is very moldy and smells like mildew though so beware if you have allergies. One thing I HIGHLY recommend if renting at Little Arches is to BARGAIN the price down. EVERYTHING here is horrifically over priced, Im talking 5 star prices but 1 to 2 star food and 1 to 2 star accommodations. And I am from LA and NYC so I am used to paying a lot, but here we have been paying more then we would pay in Los Angeles for crap food. (Tonight we went to a local bar and had two tapas and one glass of wine, our bill was $50 US dollars and the tapas were literally store bought pita chips and hummus and tomatoes). At Little Arches we rented the studio villa for $1200 for a week from December 17 to December 26th after doing some bargaining. It is very strange though because I called around to a lot of the other hotels and they all claimed to be fully fully booked and either had no accommidations or did for astronomical amounts, yet the island is completely a ghost town. There are very few other people around, which makes for a lovely secluded vacation if that is what you are looking, but super boring if you are not. Harbour Island restaurant's are very very pricy so unless you don't mind or plan to not eat at them I would recommend going else where or bringing your own food. The average price point is $30-50 per plate. My boyfriend and I average meals are about $100 a night and we are vegetarians and light eaters and not big drinkers so $100 a meal for two for us is on the lower end due to the way we eat. The people here are very friendly and approachable. They are very nice to tourist. It is kind of sad though because there is very little info-structure here and the locals are very poor. The grocery stores have no produce and only out dated boxed or canned foods so if you plan to eat in it will be tuff if you like fresh non expired food. My over all assessment of Harbour Island it that it is just too expensive for what you get. Though the people are lovely and the beach is gorgeous for the money they charge tourist here there are many other places you can go to and get way more for your buck. I assume its a ghost town because tourist have found out and refuse to pay these prices for what they are getting. Anyway rethink coming here.

Best in the World....really no other way to describe it. Sand is soft as baking flour, but it doesn't stick. White with a slight pink hugh during the day, in the morning and evening the sand turns a vibrant pink, absolutely stunning! They shoot SI Swimsuit on this beach for a reason! Great beach for walking, lounging, horseback riding (a real treat). At times, it feels like you have the whole beach to yourself. Harbour Island is so layed-back! No cars, only golf carts. If you TRULY want to relax, get away from the hussle and bussle........you will not regret a trip here! You'll never want to leave......

Any idea if there are safety lockers or luggage storage available anywhere on Harbor Island? I plan to make a day-trip (by ferry) from Nassau to Harbor Island to see the Pink Sands Beach. I would need to keep my phone, wallet, etc. safe to be able to enjoy the beach. Appreciate your reply!

Hello no there are no lockers but there are places you can rent umbrellas and chairs and you can leave everything there. It’s pretty safe.

We will stay at Atlantis.. how we get to the Pink sand beach ..
Thanks

You’ll have to take a ferry to Harbour Island. It’s about 2/2.5 hours from Nassau.

Was the sand truly pink? I really want to see pink sand for real.
Written 30 August 2018
Depends on what you are thinking by pink. Nowhere in the world is it that bright pink, it kind of changes pink hues depending on the light and angle you are looking at it. It gets its pink hue from the coral shells of tiny sea creatures (non-scientific explanation) and mixed with white sand makes a pinkish color. The sand is beautifully soft- like walking in flour and doesn’t get hot. Look at some of the pictures related to the post and judge for yourself. I will say it has the best sand I’ve ever put my toes in.
