Bathsheba is a fabulous place and is the 'real Barbados'. Rugged cliffs, tropical vegetation and the wild Atlantic sea which is just mesmerising. The sea is very rough and swimming is not recommended except for the many surfers riding the waves. There are a couple...More

My family are visiting Barbados for a 2 week break. We decided to spend a couple of days at the Rest Haven cottages (which were wonderful!) What a stunning beach! It's a taste of wild Barbados. We enjoyed just watching and listening to the sound...More

We visited here the first time on a fixed tour and it was a mere photo stop so I vowed to return. This time we hired a cab for the day - very worthwhile so we could stop and wander to our delight. This is...More

The east coast of this island is stunning. You can't swim in the sea here but if you have the chance to visit, please do, you won't be disappointed at all.

While exploring the island we went to Bathsheba Beach. It was a beautiful day and the waves were rolling in. There were quite a few surfers out catching waves, some did quite well. There were also several photographers with large lenses positioned along the seaside...More

This place was one of our stops in our shore excursion. I love the beach with huge rock formations along it's coast. It's very scenic and we have great photos. Too bad our time here was limited.

À must drive by and walk down this side of the island. It's windy and the water is roaring up on shore. The massive rocks along the coast are very impressive. Very private, you won't be disappointed.

We visited this beach and had a walk around. Very interesting large rock formations and lots of interesting coral washed up on shore. Not the kind of beach you can relax on and go for easy swims.

If you are staying anywhere besides around Bathsheba its not worth the drive. roads are narrow and sometimes drivers are not paying attention. Its a long drive and nothing really to see when you arrive. Way better beaches in Barbados.

We visited these beautiful mushroom shaped rocks while on a shore excursion with Glory Tours. We were on Holland America's Rotterdam cruise ship. An incredible thing to see.

No, it has not been affected. However, keep in mind that the Atlantic ocean in Batsheba area is rough, the beach is rocky and though scenic for watching, it's not good for swimming, but best suited for surfing. It's a good... More

I would agree with other people the sea on the east coast is suitable for surfing but there is no place to moor a boat in Bathsheba, get the bus from Bridgetown, it’s 2 Barbados dollars each, great value and a lovely journey.
