Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The information in the centre is pretty good, and it's free parking for when you want to walk around the wind turbines.
We could see North to Ben Lomond, and West to Arran & Ailsa Craig. Very pretty!
Soup + bread + tea (*2) + a scone came to £12.20 - not cheap, but okay. The Red Pepper & tomato soup was stunning!

Standing under one of the turbines as the wind picks up is an awe inspiring experience. We took the electric bus tour with guide driver Stuart. He was very knowledgeable and hugely entertaining. I will definitely visit again.

I'm not getting into what happened but what I will say is my dog didn't make it home. Under no circumstances should you walk your dog here. IT IS NOT SAFE, YOUR DOG IS IN DANGER.

Such an amazing well kept place!! paths are accessible for all, I'd say prams and wheelchairs, mobility etc
we didn't take our bikes but I saw lots of people cycling around and it looked incredible. We did however just the short walk to the lookout and back and such incredible views.
It's incredible to get up so close to a wind farm thing and watch the way it works and read the information and hear nothing at all!!!! BLISS
We pulled up and the car park was busy so we assumed it was crowded but the place is so big with so many different walks we never saw anyone! Plenty of parking.
The cafe was great too really good prices and food.
incredible family day out with the dogs too and to think it's FREE!!! just a picnic needed xx
Can't wait to return!!!

Sadly, several trips here have been spoiled by irresponsible dog owners/walkers.
Significant dog fowling, uncontrolled dogs causing a hazard for small children and cyclists and in one instance I was attacked while the gormless owner shouted from the distance that her dogs weren’t used to strangers.

New to Scotland in 2021 and just starting to venture out. Found Whitelee via the internet. We wanted somewhere to walk with our Puppy and then have some lunch and a coffee. The park is beautiful and the view are just as outstanding. It was amazing being so close to the wind turbines. We did 3 miles in total and was still in sight of the coffee house. You could spend all day and still not get far.
We turned back to the visitors centre for lunch.
The centre is beautiful with lots of information its fascinating facts. The cafe is lovely with views across the park with an outside area for those with dogs.
Good prices for soup and sandwich it has been a lovely day.
Well worth the visit.

We visited recently for the first time, it's a small but informative exhibition with a few fun interactive displays.
The staff are helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the cafe but the menu looked reasonably good and there's plenty of seats, we might try it next time.
It definitely worth a visit here as there are plenty of walks and bike trails around the windfarm.

The path from the visitors centre to the main walking areas is on quite a steep slope. It had not been gritted and was in a very dangerous ice covered state. They had managed to grit the access road for the windfarm workers vehicles so money obviously comes before the safety of the public. I do not expect the whole area to be gritted but this is a 300 metre path that all visitors have to navigate. When we finally made it to the area where the paths diverge and take you to different areas we found every bin in the area overflowing with bags of dog poo and takeaway coffee containers. This has not built up over a few days of bad weather. It was clear they had not been emptied for some considerable time. Dog owners are doing their bit - to an extent- by trying to use the bins but if the bin is clearly full why just dump the bag beside it ! A lovely winters walk spoiled. Rant over.

Loved my visit. We walked a total of ten miles along the various paths. Good to see there is a good choice of different lengths of paths. Well maintained throughout.

Hello! Are the public toilets open in the time of Covid?
The only public toilets are located within the visitor centre, which is currently shut for the winter period (same every year), and is hoping to reopen in the spring, Covid-19 restrictions permitting of course. After the initial lockdown last year, they re-opened at weekends for a few months for toilet access and takeaway from the café only. Check their website for info.
Is there parking as we have a car and id so how much dose it cost
