Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Parque Morazán is the largest park within San Jose, Costa Rica. The iconic and lovely Temple of Music, the park’s focal point, was inspired by Francisco Morazan of Honduras in the 1800’s, in hopes of unifying the countries of Central America. Located in an ideal location for site-seeing within San Jose, we stayed at the Hotel Aurora Holiday Inn with views overlooking this lovely park, which made for the perfect home base. We traveled in late April through early May and greatly enjoyed the vibrant florals and trees boasting purple blossoms. An oasis from the heat, this park attracts numerous locals who play music and dance, as well as those just seeking a lovely, leisurely environment.

Upon arrival you can't miss the pair of golden wings that are immediately at the entrance. They are a clever and inviting idea that are great for a photo. The park itself is a little dated and unclean however. There is little to do in the park but there is everything you could possibly need in the immediate area. The central area is nice and it could be fun to sit and watch the skaters perform tricks off the local bandstand.

The park once was a lagoon that was a source of mud for adobe homes. The area was drained in 1878 and opened as a public park in 1890, named after Francisco Morazán, the first and last president of the United States of Central America. In 1991 the park was renovated and different sculptures were added. The most eye-catching element is the Music Pavilion, a structure built in the 1920s and renovated recently. The design is inspired by the Temple of Love in Versailles (France). It has special acoustics that enable an audience all around to hear a concert or play

Morazan park has a number of interesting features and the temple of music. Better maintained than most parks in San Jose.

There are many benches throughout this park that spans 2 blocks. A geasbo is in the center with many statues scattered throughout the park.

The park with the wings of Mexico is a piece of gem. Not crowded. Beautiful trees and flowers. Lights up at dusk. Public performances in the weekend, such as the hip-hop and the vogueing group Sunday morning.

We stopped by this park to see the Wings if Mexico which is a sculpture of 2 golden wings. You can stand in front for a picture of yourself as an angel. See the Temple de Musica also with its Doric Columns. At the corner, across the street is a very good lunch (3500 colones) restaurant in an old mansion called Restaurant Del Mar.

Named after Honduran General Francisco Morazan, who, in the 19th-century, attempted to unite the Central American nations under a single flag.

This park is walking distance from our Hotel so we came by to check it out. It's nice, lots of people use it. We saw someone juggling and all the statues the park has to offer.
Across the street there's a building made out of metal which is being used as a school and across the street form that there's another bigger greener park!
There is a self guided walking tour that takes you around these parts as well as guided tours. Not bad for something easy and quick to do.
